Default Looking for fresh, crisp office scent

    Hello all,

Looking for a new fresh, crisp office scent. I know there is no one perfect scent, but the following scents have worked for me the past so looking for suggestions along these lines --

    Burberry Touch
    Hugh Parsons Blue
    Prada Infusion D'Homme
    Creed GIT
    Bulgari Pour Homme

    Leaning towards Bleu De Chanel.

    Thanks...

Bleu de Chanel is a good choice for office wear. Give it a try.

There's nothing wrong with Bleu de Chanel-- for some reason people on here slag it as if it were Acqua di Gio or something like that, which I don't understand. It's actually a fresh but complex, attractive, well-made, identifiable scent that may or may not be popular-- I've only encountered one person wearing it. I wore it to work last night and really enjoyed it. It's a much better fragrance than it gets credit for, IMO.

If you want something new and not well known or used (like Bleu de Chanel), try Kenzo Pour Homme Boisee. Its easily sampled at Sephora or Nordstroms (maybe even Saks). Just check it out. It fits your bill quite appropriately.
    Fall/Winter Rotation:

    Lancôme Hypnôse
    Lanvin Avant Garde
    Zegna Intenso
    Dior Homme Intense
    Thierry Mugler Taste of Fragrance
    Prada Amber Intense Pour Homme

If smelling good was a crime, I'd be serving a lifetime sentence....

Bulgari Blu. But the Prada is about as safe an office scent as you'll ever find.

With a suitable budget, you can always try Sycomore by Chanel.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately reminds me of Guerlain Vetiver, which I used to wear a lot so can't have this one.

Well said Indie_Guy, it is going to Bleu de Chanel. There is something to be said about fragrances that might not be earth shattering or ground breaking but can be pleasant for a wide variety of people (in office especially).

I was walking through Macy's and tried some new designer frags since I haven't in a long while. Bleu was one of the best IMO. I hate to admit the other one I liked, and I remember not liking it much the last time... Le Male. The new Varvatos frag, Star something, was very good too, it fits into the "generic, fresh and boring" theme that everyone has going on, but it is pleasant and has less of a synthetic edge to it than most.

Terre d'Hermes is also a good office frag IMO, used in moderation... and it is unique among a ton of bland "fresh" frags.

I also randomly ordered a few niche samples, and biehl parfumkunstwerke mb02 fits your requirements and is more original... it is made by Mark Buxton from Comme des Garcons, and its almost a mix of CdG 2 Man and Prada Infusion d'Iris. eo02 smells like a super high quality fresh scented deodorant stick, and might fit the bill too. For me, it smelled too much like a body spray, but as always with frags, ymmv... Anyway, mb02 is well worth looking into if you want something unique, it's far better quality than anything at Macy's, and it's not super-expensive:

+1 for TdH. Very crisp, but go light on the trigger for working in close quarters.

TdH for me smells like rotten oranges. Maybe something my father would wear and i'm 35, but to each it's own. Maybe you will like it.

I'd say dirty orange/grapefruit (depending on parfum/edt) and vetiver with a touch of cedar, and I agree with the "crisp" feel... I love it. It can be weird at first, and some people get a BO vibe from it too, but I think the people who interpret it as rotten oranges or BO are a small minority.

@dorje i'm using the Edt, even a spray seems to much, it's like im gonna choke myself and everyone around. Its the edp lighter? less cloying?

Thanks for the mb02 suggestion, I will try it. I had exactly the same reaction as you had with Le Male coming to it after a long time. However, it is too sweet/vanilla for me now anyways.

Unfortunately, TDH doesn't work for me at all. The mineral-like effect is good but the rotten orange/BO smell is too much. There is something weak and imcomplete, I keep coming to it once a while but just don't get it :-/

Hard to say on the parfum vs edt. The parfum is a little quieter but not lighter...

I think the TdH sprayer dispenses a lot of juice! I just tap the sprayer as lightly as I can... 2-3 partial sprays mid-chest works for me for TdH. Applying it this way it doesn't project far, but still has some sillage you can notice now and then.

Fresh Laundry (Clean) Ignore the gender marketing. Downside: you may get the reputation as "that guy that smells like he used too many dryer sheets".

Sequoia (CdG) LIGHTLY applied should not offend anyone unless they don't like trees (wood). Downside: woodpeckers might start boring a hole in your skull.

Another vote for Acqua di Parma Assoluta, although ADP doesn't seem to get much love here lately.

I also suggest Tiffany for Men - on my personal short list of office frags.
