Default Guys, I'm hit bad. Also, barber shop clean colognes

Today, Allure Homme Sport + Nautica Sunset Voyage showed up. The former is to die for. The latter has very poor longevity (on my skin).

Nevertheless, I ordered two more. After discussion with my friend I realized I have *0* barber shop fresh colognes. In fact, I have no "sexy" colognes. All I have I purchased for myself (which is good) but now its time to expand.

Hugo is purchased. Along with something called Alfred Sung Paradise Cologne.

I suppose the next step is Green Irish Tweed? Oy vey that's pricey.

You mean colognes with that scent of a barber shop? Rive Gauche for barber shop cologne (very mature scent)

Perhaps you might consider Midnight in Paris.

I've tried it. A bit too rough around the edges for me.

You're in luck then, this is Midnight in Paris, not Bvlgari Black!

You should sample what you're interested in before buying blindly. http://theperfumedcourt.com/ is great for this. Instead of buying a few scents you like you can find ones you love.

Like mentioned above, Rive Gauche is a well done creamy, manly fragrance. For sexy, Meharees. It is similar to Musc Ravageur which if you've been here long enough you'll know it's reputation.

Any number of the older British traditional scents could be just the ticket... A couple favorites of mine are the very nice masculine rose scent Floris no. 89 (if you can find the vintage stuff in the curved bottle even better) and the defunct but still easily obtainable relatively inexpenively on eBay, Crown Imperial (a very nice natural orange/lemon opening with a clean powdery dry down). Trumpers has some good scents that would fit the bill too in a pinch.
    Current Top Favorites:
    1) Portrait of a Lady original formula (EdP Frédéric Malle)
    2) Giorgio for Men vintage/V.I.P. for Men (Giorgio Beverly Hills)
    3) Dia Man vintage edt (Amouage)
    4) Les Nombres d'Or Vetyver (Mona di Orio) - tie
    4) Lalfeorosa (O'driù) - tie

    6) Anat Fritz Original Formula and Classical (Anat Fritz)
    7) Captain vintage (Molyneux)
    8) Tzora (Anat Fritz)

If you like Green Irish Tweed, a cheaper perfume in the style is Cool Water.

As for barbershop, I guess everybody has different ideas. Le Male has a distinct clean barbershop musk with some sweetness. My favorite however are Caron pour un homme (lavender-vanilla) and Troisieme homme (jasmine and a clean musk).

Pinaud Clubman is what my barber uses after a regular haircut. It may not be very sexy, but it's not expensive either.

I'm not super huge on GIT, RG or any of these barber shop esque colognes. In fact, I'm primarily buying them because my collection is devoid of them. And they seem to get a massive amount of compliments.

Already purchased Hugo Boss (the one with the rope). I think the next step is just to save up for GIT.

I think so too. I wanted to order one .5ml sample and it was going to be about $17 because shipping is not included in the outrageous price of the sample. Im boycotting them also. There are other ways to get samples or i will just go without, its not that important. So far never paid for a sample ever.

You can find Rive Gauche for abt 3 times the price of a sample. Lomani cheaper than a sample. Old spice is great in an atomizer......

Heperd, at first I thought you were trolling with the Old Spice cologne. I'll give it a look if I find it.

    http://www.sunburstbottle.com/sample-containers

Shipping is like $9 no matter what, so better to order a lot

Prada Amber Pour Homme- or Infusion PH is like strong ,clean white soap. The extreme version of Amber is like a clean musk drydown.

Was my most recent purchase. It's clean, wonderful almond and sandalwood. Reminiscent of european barbershop and sexy so it fills both your requirements although it's a bit pricey.

If you're gonna go the pricey GIT route, can I suggest Invasion Barbare instead? You should order a sample of it, it's considered a Nu-Fougere by many...like a modernized barbershop vibe. It's a really spectacular fragrance with excellent longevity and sillage. A 60ml bottle will last you years.
