Musc Ravageur IMO.
Okay, I've looked through the notes and sampled each of these, but I honestly have no idea which I like better.
I beseech the aid of the basenotes community to help me with the selection; which of these two fragrances is more seductive?
EDIT: One thing that makes me wonder about Aventus is the fact that some people have stated on this forum that certain batches are pure heaven, and some are more or less uninspired. Is it worth the risk, so to speak?

Musc Ravageur IMO.
I'd say Musc Ravageur, but women compliment me on Aventus far more often.
Sit back and let the smoky pineapple go to work for you
Current favorites_____Black Tourmaline_____Gucci Pour Homme II_____Memoir Man_____Tuscan Leather______Montale Aoud and Pine_____Sel Marin_____Invasion Barbare_____Tonka Imperial____Dior Homme Intense_____L'Humaniste____Santal 33_____Bois d'Argent_____Nio_____MFK Oud_____Lumiere Noire_____Bois d'Encens_____Cuir Ottoman
Mmmm... I have to say I'm not really a fan of either but if I had to choose- Aventus. It can leave a nice amount of sillage and has an attractive quality.

Women freaking LOVE Aventus. They go nuts for it.
Aventus is easy on a womens heart.
MR is a way more seductive scent. Really smooth and creamy.
MR is pretty divisive, I'd guess half of women won't like it, judging from a MR vs MKK thread in the female forum. So, a good portion of women basenoters dislike MR... Aventus is a far safer bet, and women do seem to like it.
In a recent study conducted by the University of Liverpool, they had some guys spray themselves with Lynx (the English version of Axe Body Spray). Then they had women rate the men's attractiveness ... via videotape. As in, they were out of smelling range. The men who sprayed themselves down were still rated as more attractive, even though the women couldn't smell them.
According to the scientists running the experiment, the power was inside the men the whole time. The guys given the scented spray figured they smelled good, so their body language displayed more confidence, and the women who watched them responded to that.
Haha, this isn't about "getting the girl". I already have a girlfriend, and just want to surprise her with something different.
I just wanted to try something new! =]
EDIT: And cracked is an EXCELLENT read, by the way =P.
For straight up sexy, MR wins. However, Aventus is very versatile and women love it. I own both and Aventus gets more looks but both cause women to come in for a closer inspection. If you're going to blow a lot of money go with Aventus. You'll hate how MR doesn't feel appropriate for so many situations.
Completely different application...Aventus for summer, MR for winter. Next!
Aventus to me is not a "seductive" scent whereas with MR that's the first adjective I would use to describe it. Aventus is far sportier and more casual so there's any number of ways someone can respond to it it, but with MR there's no misunderstanding the intentions of the wearer
Musc Ravageur by far.

If we're talking about female compliments here, Aventus has garnered more than anything else I've worn recently.
musc ravageur if you are trying to seduce someone who is under the influence of alcohol.
Aventus? you have already seduced someone without you being aware of it.

Both are great but maybe for slightly different occasions.
For an existing partner I would say MR; if you are 'going fishing' I would say Aventus
Thought my best mate was going to jump on me earlier, he loved the smell of MR (1st time he smelled it).
IMO Musk Ravageur = resembles Shalimar EDP, very seductive but not versatile.
I would go for Aventus as its more versatile.
