Default Batch Codes and Department Stores

    hey Folks,

Could it be that stores like Macy's and Lord and Taylor carry old stock colognes? For example I bought a bottle of Bvlgari Soir from Lord and Taylor just 5 months ago. I checked the batch code and it was manufactured in late 2009. So this bottle is over 2 years old already, does that mean I'm lucky to get another year or two out of it???
