Default Patchouli 24 - smoked meat gourmand

I wore this for the first time tonight and it reminded me of the way my dads ribs smell when they come out of the smoker. At the top anyway. Was making me very hungry and wanting to grill out. I got a kick out of it cause it's the first time I've come across something that came off to me as a meat gourmand, lol. Anyone else get this?

I've always felt Patchouli 24 smelled of smokey links in a bowl of Caro syrup... so.... yes!

Its Islay Scotch Whiskey 100% which is very smokey and peaty. This is a good thing

Love this one.....the dry down is very addicting...that ambery, dusty, semi sweet, tamed down smoky scent.

I'm wearing this for the first time right now. Hmmm more leather than a patchouli fragrance. Very interesting opening but as it develops certain sweetness is revealing, I wish it was more bitter and dry than sweet. Weird fragrance

    I love it.
Ive been meaning to compare the vintage to the newer formula.
    Birch, tar, vanilla.
Its very similar to cuir amethyste but with tar as opposed to violets.

I love the drydown but the opening is to strange for me. When i got my bottle of it (blind bought) i was feeling sick. As i said i love the drydown but i just cant get past the top notes.

    Hey.

This scent doesn't change much on me. It is one of the most unique fragrances I've experienced. I do get the barbecue thing. However, what I get most are medical bandages and fireplaces. I'm waiting for the weather to get a little chilly here (which will probably never happen LOL). I think it is definitely a winter frag IMO.
