Yes yes and yes.
Can you try before you buy?
They're all excellent.
Thread: Diptyque Candles |
Do the Diptyque candles have pretty good silage,Longevity? Are they worth the high price? Opinions, reviews etc. Please :-)
Also looking for a woody & spicy candle possibly with some sweetness from Diptyque if I decide to get one in the future.
The John Galliano is nicely smoky-woody. But all the others are also good, and, as hedonist was saying, smell like what they're supposed to. In particular, la Myrrhe is resiny spicy with a touch of sweetness.
cacio
Oranger is fruity- spicy- woody, fresh and balmy at the same time... delightful!
The ones that Diptyque lists as Woody/Spicy are: Ambre, Cannelle, Chéne, Cyprés, Feu de Bois, Maquis, Myrrhe, Opopanax, Patchouli, Pomander, Santal, Thé, Vetyvyr, Essence of John Galliano.
My favorites out of these are: Opopanax, Cannelle (cinnamon), Essence of John Galliano, Pomander (orange and cloves), Maquis (cistus/amber) and Feu de Bois (fire wood).
You can't go wrong with Diptyque candles, IMHO.
Diptyque candles IMO sets the standard for high quality candles that throw off a lot of scent and last a long time - I highly recommend them. It's hard to know which ones to recommend since I've only owned the Baies one...which is very rose and berry prominent, but I am sure the Essence of John Galliano is great (I owned the room spray, of the same scent).

Oh I didn't know it was discontinued. I've seen it at a lots of places in Miami that sell Diptyque candles, I'm sure that you should be able to find some (retail or online). Good luck.

Have any of youz tried Diptyque's Art of Body,Bath & Body products?
They have wonderful silage and longevity. I've used Rose, Baies, and Fenouil Sauvage. I am actually addicted to the Fenouil Sauvage - no kidding - I even asked the company if they could make a perfume or home spray but its not in the offing. It is a lot of money, maybe you could try a little one first. Hope this helps. Enjoy
The Precious Oils for Bath and Body, and Lait Frais for the body are wonderful - and I am extremely picky. They moisturize and are not in the least bit greasy.
I have had Maquis & Feu de Bois in my home at different times and they fill up the house with such a wonderful feeling.
The Diptyque Myrrh candle is great.
so so expensive
The best you can buy. Love Opoponax, and Lilacs in the summer to die for.
DONNA
Opoponax is my favourite by miles, and the Galliano is also great. The room sprays of these scents are also handy to have around during the day - I don't really need candles till it gets dark![]()
I was in the Diptyque boutique on Bleeker Street in NY today and had a chance to smell many of the candles. The Myrrhe and Opopanax smelled great. Almost bought them, but held off as i had already spent so much on fragrances elsewhere.
I added Gardenia to our small collection- rubbery, velvety, intoxicating... I've also seen that there are small ones on sale, I'm planning to get Feu de Bois, at last.
Yes, they are expensive, but the quality of the wax is great and they burn quite evenly- or just need a bit of rearranging
What candle would you guys recommend for a fan of Philosykos?
