Monsieur Balmain
I need something lighter. Something to be worn throughout the day, but I don't want to smell like I just stepped out of the shower. Any suggestions?

I've read petruccijc recommending New West for a long time. I couldn't find it in my city, but i saw it during a trip and tested it. I can't agree more with New West, fresh, elegant with some old school vibe that makes it stand out among the bunch of senseless fresh releases in the market.
... And do me a favor - don't disturb my friend. He's dead tired.

TUM TUM PISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A few of these were already mentioned, but I'd say:
Bulgari Aqua for a dry aquatic.
L'eau Par Kenzo for a sweet one.
Duc de Vervins if you want something strongly green.
Agua de Loewe, Armani Eau Pour Homme or Trumpers GFT for less-sweet citrus.
Varvatos Artisan, New West or Monsieur de Givenchy for more sweet.
Vetivers for earthy greens.
Cool Water or Paco XS for sharper greens.
Redbeard, thanks so much. New West sounds interesting, but since you describe it as sweet, should I stay away from it since I am looking to purchase Rochas Man and A Men, since they are also sweet? Or would you say that they are different enough that I shouldn't worry about it?
New West is a) a lot less sweet, and b) an entirely different category than those two...they're desserty/foody sweet spice scents and New West is a semi-sweet, sharp orange with herbs, and just a little aquatic component. (been a while since I've sniffed any of those 3!)
I'd say almost zero risk of reduncancy, although RM and A Men might be redundant with each other!
Thats what I thought. And on the last note of Rm and and A Men, I thought about that, but people hold both in high regard (for different reasons), so I thought why not?
I don't think New West is sweet at all. It's very aromatic (herbal) and yes...aquatic, but in a good way. Please sample first, of course.
