Smile Looking to try a fragrance by Yves Saint Laurent

I've decided that I'm going to get one of these five:

    Body Kouros
    Live Jazz
    M7 Fresh
Opium pour Homme Eau de Parfum
    Rive Gauche pour Homme

Which of these is your favorite, and if you could only have one which would it be? Why?

Thanks for all of your help guys.

Live Jazz is great for the Summer - It opens with grapefruit and mint and is really refreshing and drysdown to a woody vanille scent.

Rive Gauche - Smells like shaving cream but in a good way and is a modern interpretation of the old barbershop theme and can be worn anytime and anywhere. If push came to shove I would choose Live Jazz.

I voted for the Opium. A classic from YSL.

That is a really close call between Live Jazz and Rive Gauche for me. Both are so very versatile. I guess I will have to go with Live Jazz. Because...you know.

If it's that close, you are free to vote for both of them

EDIT: Oh wow, I didn't even notice your account name until I responded. That's great hahaha.

I admit I probably missed several great fragrances in my poll, but I chose to include the 5 with the highest rating.
Anyway, thank you for the input.

I have only smelled Live Jazz and Body Kouros out of the 5 listed. I am not a fan of the incense so much in Body Kouros although if you enjoy incense you will enjoy this scent.

I vote Live Jazz. A very well done, refreshing summer scent.

Anything but Body Kouros from your list, and definitely not any of the L'Homme fragrances.

I would add Kouros and M7.

They are so wide ranging in style I think it would be better for us to know how old you are and where, when and how you want to use it. I got a 100ml/99% bottle of body kouros available if you decide that's what you would like to get so hit me up if you do.

I only like 3 from YSL, and you have listed 2 of them. Had to go for BK, sorry to M7 Fresh.

    The other is YSL PH

I'm an YSL fan so love all 5

Can't pick one, since they are all awesome !!!

The weakest regarding longevity and projection is Live Jazz. The strongest is KOUROS followed by Opium.

Get all 5 - you can't go wrong

Edit - just saw it's not M7, but M7 Fresh. Dump M7 Fresh, get the 4 others

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

For the record, I'm a 21 year old university student, tall with a large frame (do colognes go with body types?). I don't really care what these frags are meant for, I mostly just want the best one as silly as that may sound. The reason for this is because I don't know what situation each of them should be used in. It would probably help you guys decide what's best for me if I tell you what I already have, so here goes...

My very meager collection is as follows:
    Fahrenheit by Christian Dior
New York by Parfums de Nicolai
Diamonds for Men by Georgio Armani
    Fierce by Abercrombie and Fitch
A*Men Pure Havane by Thierry Mugler
    Antaeus by Chanel
    L'Egoiste by Chanel

To be honest, I'm such a noob that I don't know the proper occasion for wearing each of these fragrances. Perhaps if I knew what I was missing, it would be easier to figure out what I'm looking for

So far, the votes are stacked heavily in favor of Rive Gauche pour Homme.

I had a thread like this in the "Just Starting Out" section of the forum, but that time the choice was between 5 Chanel fragrances. As you can see, the two most voted were Antaeus and L'Egoiste. As this is the case, I'll probably get the two most popular voted here as well.

Thank you all very much for the help and insight!

Rive Gauche smells so creamy and smooth and manly. It doesn't even smell like a fragrance that was released in the last decade. It has a smell reminiscent of a time when men were men. When side-parted hairstyles were held together by petroleum based pomade with Brylcreem for extra shine. When suits, ties, and a briefcase were standard attire. When American cars were things of beauty and looked futuristic before anybody knew what the future would hold. When most afternoons were spent getting the dish on the latest scuttlebutt at a real barbershop where you could get a good haircut and a straight razor shave topped off with a soothing splash of aftershave. When men were gentlemen who held doors for women, who were true ladies. This my friend, is what Rive Gauche smells like. Or really, what I believe it smells like. I'm too young for any of that stuff, but I wish I could have been around during those times.

I would go with this as well. Otherwise, perhaps Rive Gauche. The novelty of Body Kouros got old for me really quick.

All I can say is that I own most of them, consider YSL to be one of the best houses around and at around 20 $ per bottle max I would SERIOUSLY recommend to just get them all.

If forced, I'd keep Opium, but I'm not sure I'd want to miss the others. that list is seriously bang for the buck overall!
