Yikes! Glad I picked up my L'Anarchiste this summer for under $40, as I see it is now sold out on Fragrancenet and scentmonkey. I see Yatagan is still available for cheap, however.

Well, nothing is getting any cheaper these days. I notice the other drier Pour Homme (Impact?) isn't there - that's the one I have been meaning to track down.

Yesterday I searched for l'Anarchiste that is out of stock on Fragrancenet and Fragrancex and only found it on Escentual and Ausliebezumduft for 68 euro (the same price of Yatagan, 3 man and PuH) ..... so Caron will increase its prices.... well, they were a real bargain....

That's all right. It's what happens when you pay the full price. You know, the one with the strikethrough on discount online shops.
I don't think caron is changing anything, yet.

    Here are some similar examples:

Well, to be fair, L'Anarchiste and Yatagan, even at $90, are still a better value than 98% of niche frags out there.

Right now I think that I have all the fragrances that I want.

I don't think there is a price increase. Their prices were always like this, but they were affordably available at online discounters.
Luckyscent is not an online discount store.

Maybe you are right, however, I noticed that some frags from Caron are vanishing from discount stores, as L'Anarchiste for instance, which is consistent to the idea of a new pricing tag for this brand.

Carons are OK provided you can get them for no more than US$30. And then only for reference sake, since I've yet to find anything Caron that I really crave. My opinion, of course...

I'm glad to see that Caron has been picked up by LuckyScent. I love a number of their scents, and although it may be a drag to have to pay much more for them, I'm glad they're not drifting into obscurity. It's nice to have a ready source for Tabac Blond in particular.

Yatagan is my go-to weapon -- I crave it every time I do battle!

I'm curious to try L'Anarchiste. Maybe I can sniff it down at the Scent Bar.

+1, I think this is more of a LuckyScent issue than a Caron issue.

This is correct. I think both of these scents are worth the price luckyscent is charging, but I'm glad they can be found more cheaply! :-)

Caron has odd and limited distribution. Though I think the prices are high, happy to see Lucky Scent picked them up.

Not keen on those two but like PUH and Troisieme Homme. Cheapsmells.com sell the range for cheap (not L'Anarchiste currently though).

They've always sold for these full prices at the Caron boutiques and back when Saks used to have them. We're all just so used to seeing them at discounted prices, that it's a shock to see them at full retail.

That being said, the best possible thing is that they have the urn extraits that you used to have to go to NY or Paris to smell, and they have samples! There are no excuses any more - everyone has to sample Tabac Blond and Tuberose!

I'm especially speaking to you, SOS - Tabac Blond has that same papyrus tobacco note you love in Reflection Man but over that deep bready suede from Knize Ten or Royal English Leather. And Caron's Tuberose, while devastatingly short-lived, is the perfect woody citrus masculine tuberose scent out there...

These prices are a joke. I can buy Pour un Homme from the perfume shop here in CT for $40. Lucky Scent is kidding no one.
