Default Spicy and/or Herbal long lasting scent recommendations

    My current favorite colognes are:

    -Aramis Havana
    -Tommy Bahama
    -Azzaro Pour Homme (current version)
    -Halston Z-14 (current version)

I've tried Yatagan, Quorum & Drakkar but not huge fan of them. I'm looking for something spicy and/or herbal that lasts a long time.

I don't like sharp fragrances that are rough when you smell them up close (for example Aramis). I also don't like sweet, vanilla/ambery, overly floral, or suit & tie formal scents. I'm highly sensitive to anything chemical smelling, which is why I've naturally preferred old school fragrances so far.

One more thing, it has to be under $50 for a decent size bottle (100ml or larger).

I've read that Worth Pour Homme is a good one, along with Paco, Rive Gauche, Tuscany, Devin, Giorgio BH, Montana Red, & Zino. And I want to check all of these out. But based on my current favorites I listed, what do you all recommend? I'm sure there are many other good ones out there.

If you like spicy and herbal scents and don't like strong vanilla, amber and benzoin bases, you really should try Villoresi's Uomo. Superbly balanced fragrance. Don't get me started on how fantastic it is...

Oh crap, not under 50 bucks!

+1 on Envy if you can still find it under $50 for a 100 ml. My own choice would be Giorgio for Men at under $20 for a 118 ml bottle. It is a tad synthetic, but not overly so, and it is an incredible herbal fragrance, IMO.
    Current Top Favorites:
    1) Portrait of a Lady (EdP Frédéric Malle)
    2) Giorgio for Men vintage (Giorgio Beverly Hills)
    3) Dia Man vintage edt (Amouage)
    4) Les Nombres d'Or Vetyver (Mona di Orio) - tie
    4) Lalfeorosa (O'driù) - tie

    6) Anat Fritz Original Formula and Classical (Anat Fritz)
    7) Captain vintage (Molyneux)
    8) Tzora (Anat Fritz)

Lots of these are good choices for you since you like leather (Azzaro PH etc)

I will add Romeo Gigli Sud Est -- very longlasting & potent herbal scent, quite dry. i like how the perfumer continued the herbal vibe well into the drydown somehow.

    This if you want herbal

And this is you want spicy... heck, it even has red pimento and pelargonium as ingredients.

Oh yeah, I forgot you said spicy! There are many more longlasting spicy scents than herbal, since herb essential oils tend to evaporate more quickly.

    Cacharel pH +1
Givenchy Xeryus (not Rouge, which I find too sweet. try to get vintage dark bottle)
    Caravelle Epicee (attn: heavy cumin)
Gli Odori (wearing today, also lots of cumin but a lighter scent overall)
Yatagan (herb = wormwood, spice = celery seed)

Yep, it´s sadly discontinued in several countries. A shame for such a great scent!
