Lol Lilybelle are we sharing the same husband here? Mine likes things "the same" too. Do check out the L'Occitane Soaps, they are reasonably priced, BIG bars, they last for ages, And the shea butter is great for my dry skin. And of course, lemony, or lavender, if you want a scent. I believe one of them is a non-fragrant bar. Speaking of the hubster, he is currently making me a lovely wooden stand, to display my samples on, in his manly, Old Spicey, staid kind of way, he is a bit of a darling. And wielding his drill as we speak. Lol![]()

I really like castile soaps because they are so good for your skin and the scent is neutral, And another favorite of mine which I recommend all my fellow basenoters to try is black soap Its hand made all natural and has done wonders for my skin and complexion.
There is a seller on ebay who sells "soap on a rope." His soaps are scented with some very popular fragrances (I believe GIT is one, and possibly Aventus). I'm going to be purchasing one.
Dove is inexpensive and will not dry out your skin.
oilatum is the best that i have tried.
I attempted to make a soap for the hub, with TF Arabian Wood but i was extremely stingy with the amount of drops i put in, that it was too faint a smell. And making cold process soap takes too long before you can use it, so i always used EO's for that. I need to add more TF to the melt and pour base.
My own home made cold process soap, was imho, the best i'd used, because it was full of good stuff like seaweed, goat's milk, bentonite, kaolin, or aloe vera, i just don't have the space and facilities here, that i had back in Ireland. I might start making it again, if i get some space and/or spare time. Both are at a premium right now
My favorite soap is the white, dove soap. It does a great job cleaning, it has no oil and does not leave any residue on my skin. Also, it does not dry my skin out. I have been using it for a couple of years now and really like it.
Atkinsons soaps, they are kinky!
Sandalwood Soap from Stirling Soap Company or Rose & Cedarwood Shea Butter Bath Soap from Mike's Natural Soaps.
Dial is my favorite but Yardley and R&G are great as well. Neutrogena is good for the face.
No soap! No soap in our hard water, it doesn't clean, makes skin feel tight and coated and sticks dirt to the tub in this uncleanable layer of calcified minerals. Woe to anyone who gets it in their hair because the hair will have to be cut off, it can't be salvaged. So soap was banned from my house over 20 years ago, we use detergent-based body washes which aren't as prone to "soap scum" as real natural soap. On occasion we've ended up with liquid products that were made with real soap by accident and the effect is dramatic.
I like Body Shop body washes, the orange and mango and the olive one is quite nice; and also like the Alba Botanica washes. Anything we can get in a big liter bottle that isn't "antibacterial" is preferred.
