Perhaps some of you ole timers remember this post title from an earlier thread from like 2005 or 06... I stole it!
Why? Because that OP was talking only 3.3oz, and I've come across the 6.6oz splash. The real KGB!
So, does anyone know about the 6.6oz splash? I tried searching for information about it and wasn't successful. I do have a query o/s with ysl, but decided to tap into this wealth of info as well.
Assuming they're no longer marketed, I'd like to know what time window these behemoths were offered up. And if there is a vintage v. reformulation issue, whether this would constitute vintage, if so much can be determined. Seems I'm looking at a batch PA1200 or perhaps PA1200 1 either of which does not translate w/r/t the cosmetic calculator.
I own that beast and i use it this way:
That is a monster amount of Kouros! I'm sure you are in pig heaven!
Hey dN4, I thought it was determined in that thread that you bought a fakey because the lettering on the bottle was backwards... no wonder you can bathe in it. My dog would run away if I tried that with this supercolossus.
I collected this on ebay for about $5/oz and it's slightly less than full. I consider it one of my better finds.
Another site suggests this at c.2000.
Here's what ysl had to offer (not much):
Thank you for visiting Yves Saint Laurent Beauté on the Web.
We are sorry; our records do not indicate a 6.6 oz Kouros Eau De Toilette Splash. Yves Saint Laurent Beauté was acquired by L’Oréal Inc. in 2008. Unfortunately we do not have records of products available in the line prior to the acquisition. The Kouros Eau De Toilette Spray was recently discontinued.
What?!"the kouros eau de toilette spray was recently discontinued."
^ Right, yanked from the yanks. Not news, that is why winning such copious amounts of dated (more likely than not vintage, at that) juice has got me a little stoked... for when I think of Kouros and pigs in the same thought, "don't throw pearls before swine" fits much more appropriately. But hey, that's just me and I may have it all wrong.
