My life has changed a bit, but nowadays, my clothing tastes are different from 2015.

Shirts: Express, Landsí End, Polo Ralph Lauren

    Jeans: Almost exclusively Express

    Khakis: Exclusively Dockers

Suits: Joseph Abboud and Hart Schaffner & Marx (my grandfather was as loyal to the latter as he was to Eau Sauvage)

T-shirts: Assorted band tees, usually purchased from Hot Topic or other music stores, or American Fighter

Shorts: Anything long enough for my legs

Shoes: Wearing Puma right now, but wore New Balance 990s exclusively except in winter for five years

Underwear and socks: Donít really care
It's really quite pleasant, except for the smell (...)

When I was a bit younger I always go for Ralph Lauren. Now, anything as long it looks good on me.

I like so many brands, Danish, Italian, French, German and American.

This years' purchases of brands included in my favorites:
Shoes - Sesto Meucci. I love what SM calls a sneaker. Comfortable and great style, IMO.
Cosmetic Bag - Dolce & Gabbana. Yeah, I know, not clothing. I could not resist the newest , pricey and impractical:D& G Bag.jpg
    Coat - Theory
    Handbag - Longchamp
    Earrings - Eddie Borgo

Is this thread for men only? Do I belong??

I like Zara too. Surprisingly a good quality (even though a lot of their stuff is polyester ) cuts and styles but their men sizes are too small. Even their largest (if they have XXL) wont fit me well.

I like a lot of stuff I used to detest or wouldn't go near like ten years ago.. Dockers, Tommy Bahama, CK (macys line/outlet line), Clarks (for shoes), Levis, etc.
Now I find that if I select well, have them clean and ironed and make myself well-fitted and presentable, any of these are more than fine. I let my accessories do the talking for me in terms of self expression (hats, wristwatches, fragrance.. maybe a belt or dress shoes for going out)

Well, still Gap here, have accumulated a lot of Athleta stuff, though I've been working out heavier and have bigger legs/hips now, the straighter cut of these brands still fits me much better than curvier brands. I have been very pleased with Nisolo shoes as well, this year.

I wear a lot of basics and fit > brand name without question. All of my button up shirts formal or casual come from Cotton Society because I had the boutique do my measurements and the fit is now flawless. That doesn't sound like a big deal but I'm built like a linebacker and don't get the same convenience of most of my friends being able to pop into a gap and get good fitting basics.

Still looking for the perfect jean though.
    Don't stank.

I would have to completely disagree with that. Granted I'm quite thin/athletic and wear men's XS in pretty much all retailers, the smallest size offered in Zara is S and they're always too big on me. I have broad shoulders and long arms but the shoulders are always running over and the fabric around the body is always excess.

I'm a fan of J. Crew, Massimo Dutti, and Mango. I usually go there for statement pieces like coats or jackets and get the rest at places like H&M, Gap, Zara, Uniqlo, etc. Uniqlo especially I've found makes great basics - own like 5 pairs of chinos and jeans from them and a number of button downs and t-shirts. Good quality cashmere for cheap as well.

APC, Officine Generale, De Bonne Facture and Lemaire for super wearable no-nonsense pieces.

Aspesi, Engineered Garments, Nonnative, Orslow and White Mountaineering for high quality work/military inspired pieces.

Eidos, MP Massimo Piombo and Boglioli for less formal tailoring.

Kolor and Marni for more adventurous stuff.

Prada and Bottega Veneta for leather shoes.

I love Universal Standard even though the price point is a bit higher than I like to spend usually. Levi's for denim. The only brand that fits.
Doma leather jackets. I can't stop buying from them. I do not work for Doma lol.

I envy you for having a thin/athletic frame. Those bodies look good in all clothing.

RIght now I am into ASOS. They have a lot of good streetwear and their skinny jeans (both their own brand and the brands they carry) are pretty sweet.

    Oh boy!
I struggle with brands so much!
Every time I have to shop for clothes it's a nightmare. It's either cheap crap - H&M, or expensive af crap - most of well known and luxury brands.
So it turns into a crawl through every clothing store in the city, looking for specific item of good quality with adequate price.
But recently I tried tailorstore.com and I am quite happy with them! At least they solved my problem with shirts - they are almost fitted

This can be challenging for someone with my proportions. I'm not the slimmest guy, and I have short legs. I can almost never wear off-the-rack.

What I look for is a decent quality garment, that will allow for it to be tailored. I do a good bit of thrifting, it saves a TON of money, but takes time weeding through the racks of crap for the one or two good pieces.

Macy's usually has some decent items at decent prices - the INC stuff there is usually stuff I like, as well as the Alfani. I've even been known to buy stuff at Old Navy, especially when the weather starts to get warmer. You can usually get some fantastic deals there on linen-blend trousers and shirts for the warmer weather.

I'm decent with a sewing machine, so I tend to do a lot of the alterations myself. Hemming and tapering trousers are both relatively easy, as is darting on shirts, or taking them in along the side seams. If it's not something I can do myself, I'll take it to a tailor. Fit is king - it doesn't matter if it's from a top-notch designer, if it doesn't fit you well, it's not going to look good on you.

For shoes, I'm a big fan of Johnston & Murphy, Allen Edmonds, and Cole Haan.

I like to get most of my stuff from Express because their styles, fit, and cut are consistent and fit very well. I also like J Crew for the same reasons. I use to go to American Eagle a lot but their stuff doesn't fit as well.
Sometimes if I want a cool tshirt, I'll try Urban Outfitters.
For online shopping, I buy TONS of shirts from Homage and from 47 brand.
