Default A new-to-me use for pipettes

OK, so, fine, I needed to decant a few things for a dear correspondent, and bought some supplies. To my delight, the 1ml pipette has solved a vexing problem for me, to wit: how to not overdose on almond extract when making hot cocoa for one, one being une, being moi. Small but vital happiness

I use transfer pipettes to get my expensive after shaves out of their bottles without spilling and wasting. Works fantastically.

I love these things. Unfortunately they're plastic/disposable .... plastic absorbs too much fragrance to reuse :/

    They're definitely multipurpose items.

They're totally re-usable, as long as the re-use isn't to transfer another fragrance around! I take my used ones down to my algae lab to use for measuring nutrient solutions and other small quantities. Since the perfume is alcohol-based, the chance of a live organic molecule contaminating my algae is minimal...

I write the name of the frag on the pipette and reuse them whenever I need to decant the same thing. Which, when making samples, is quite common. The pipette used for Sec Mag is of course kept in a plastic bag on the balcony, away from the others and from human noses.

I use them to squirt peroxide into my ears.

They're pretty cheap, too. Like cacio, I label a pipette I might reuse with the same fragrance, and the almond extract one, is in the spice cabinet where it has its singular purpose.

I suppose one could use them as hummingbird basters (so sorry, the recent holiday was on my mind...)

    Other people do this too?!

I thought I was the only one...

    Obi-Wan: Did I say anything?
    Anakin: He's trying.
    Obi-Wan: I didn't say anything!
