Default Frags that do really well in COLD weather ?

Today for us was it extremely cold. For Arizona 30° F at night is unusual and 50's during the day. I whipped out my Killian STH and I could hardly get a whiff of it until it started to warm up a in the morning, after the sun came out. It will be colder (for us) this week and I really dont know what cuts through that crisp air. Anyone have any good ones that do well in the freezing temps ? a sure thing ? Im a pro with the warmer drier climates but freezing ?, not so much. Killian STH sucks for that by the way.

It was snowing here tonight and l'instant extreme fared quite well. I can imagine musk-based scents (musc ravageur, mkk) do well in cold weather.

Creed Royal Oud and especially Antaeus smell so different in cold weather - love it.

Burberry London for Men by Burberry - Initially, one senses a fresh vibe from the lavender tempered by the bergamot; but this yields quickly to the cinnamon leaves and a dash of black pepper, conjuring up a pleasant, muted, spicy cinnamon note. Off in the distance, one perceives leather pulling this opening to its middle, where the leather becomes resplendent with a floral fruitiness from the mimosa flower and sweet fruitiness from the port wine. This festive heart meanders to the lovely base. This comforting base has a delectable tobacco vibe furnished by tobacco leaf, and an evocative woodiness from the melange of smooth guaiac wood, earthy oakmoss and nutty opoponax. This nicely blended composition cries out for the cold so it may manifest all its glory. The letdown is this well made fragrance only has average longevity and projection.

Agree. It gets well below freezing in winter where I live, and I find this one much better in cold weather. It's a bit much in warm weather, but the sharpness and slight bitterness are pretty wonderful in frigid temps.

I was wearing Tobacco Vanille last night when it was in the 20's here, it did VERY well! However, when I got inside and was doing a little cadio hours later it kinda turned on me. It was prior to even breaking a sweat too. I question how this frag will react in heat.

Incredibly enough, when it's extremely cold, fresh scents such as Cool Water, Versace Pour Homme, Joop! Nightflight, Azzaro Silver Black, Bvlgari Aqua etc. actually rock!!!

Of course you can do a classic kick such as Gucci Envy For Men, Gucci Pour Homme I, Dior Homme, Givenchy Pi, Joop! Pour Homme, YSL Body Kouros or M7, JPG Le Male, Karl Lagerfeld Classic, Calvin Klein Obsession for men, Zino by Davidoff...

Thats very true. I have been here most of my life and for us this is extremely cold for us. But I am an early morning person and its pretty chilly in the early AM and I wear a suit to work, face to face with clients. Most of my wardrobe is suited for warmer weather.

A*Men and that heavy patchouli/tar accord really radiate and warm me on super cold days. Others I like in the cold are Creed Himalaya, Serge Luten's Rousse, Tommy Bahama Original, 1 Million, Le Male, Gucci Pour Homme 1, Armani Attitude, Burberry Brit, CK One Shock, and Creed Original Santal.

One of my favorite notes in really cold weather though is patchouli, and fragrances like A*Men, Attitude, Shock really work this time of year.

To me, the following are real "Winter Wonderland" fragrances that sparkle like snow and project a glowing winter warmth :

    Aramis Herbal 900
    KL Largerfeld
    Pino Sylvestre
    Furyo
    Witness
    Boss Sport

Aramis 900 and KL lagerfeld I find particularly Christmassy.

The smoke from Knize Ten and Lonestar Memories is hard to beat for walking out in the cold, crisp air.
