How does it smell ?
I realized I still have a bottle of Egoiste Cologne Concentree, which I've realized I'd like to rediscover after all these years (I used to wear it in high school and college). However, I must have bought the bottle way back in, say, 1993. That's a long time for a fragrance to sit around, from all I've read. Do you think it's worth working with, or is the magic gone (not that I'd have a good way to tell, as I can't smell back in time)? Can a bottle last 18 years?
So far, so good (based on one spray on my wrist). I suppose what I won't know is how it compares to how it would have smelled when it was new. Is it a bit muted? That's possible. I suppose the next thing to do is to compare this to a sample from the current, non-concentree Egoiste they've got at Bloomingdales.
As long as it hasn't been exposed to light and heat for long periods of time, it should be fine.
I think all the available bottles today was from that time. Mine still smelling fantastic.
