le male somewhat
I want to know how many old threads there are on this very subject! Seriously, if you want a loud, simple, party frag, then I guess it's relatively safe. Otherwise, sample first.

It's like a masculine and tamed version of Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin.
I think it's a pretty safe blind buy.
I would say it's not a safe bb due to the eucalyptus, it's somewhat of a strange note.
Sort of like Versace Dreamer. Not really a safe blind buy.
The first and only YSL fragrance I've ever returned.
I was really turned off by it the fist time i smelled it. Now i love it.
I like (but don't love) it, but not a safe blind buy imo. Some will find it too sweet. It is a unique scent.
girls shud like it...different kinda scent..sorta tobacco,vanilla/eucalyptusy..buy blind if u get it cheap..like i did 2 days ago via amazon
No safe blind buys in my opinion. I always test first. I've learned the hard way
For YSL, it's a more modern, spicy smelling fragrance that is similar to a less minty version of Le Male. I was lucky enough to sample this first in a fragrance outlet store, but I couldn't turn down buying a bottle in stores.
I also think that closest thing to it would be Le Male but Body Kouros is less synthetic, has Eucalyptus/Incense instead of mint and benzoin instead of vanilla. Eucalyptus/incense combo can turn your stomach off so it definitely is not safe blind buy. I think BK is masterpiece but I can rarely find ocassion to wear it because I prefer Pure Malt for parties.
TOP 3 hot weather:
1. Gucci Pour Homme II
2. Lalique Encre Noire
3. Thierry Mugler Pure Energy
TOP 3 cold weather:
1. Dior Homme
2. Eau des Baux
3. L'Instant de Guerlain Pour Homme Extreme
it's really very sweet and the eucalyptus could be off-putting to some ... unless it is dirt cheap, test first ...
there are no safe blind buys albeit I have practiced that in the past and was lucky. Non the less, I never encourage ppl to buy blind.
Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin, Le Male. Only a fairly safe blind buy if you like them sweet.
I guess as with most things, membership has its privileges. I bought about $300 worth of stuff from a small mall perfumery here in Killeen and took all of them home to sample. Body Kouros turned out to be just too sweet and too 'un-Kouros' smelling. I'm down with flankers, but this is a 180 degree difference from anything else labeled Kouros. I took it back and exchanged it for a bottle of Pasha. A much better deal in my opinion.
If you wear Lolita lempicka masculine, Rochas Man, Jacomo de Jacomo Rouge or Le Male and enjoy them you will also enjoy body kouros. That said if any of these are in your wardrobe it may be worth passing Body kouros by unless you enjoy comparing like with like.
I blind bought this & regretted it. Thankfully it was relatively cheap.....
I'm in the minority on this one. This is a staple for me, it's a unique desinger fragrance and also my most complimented fragrance ever, maybe it just works on me.
But Kouros and BK and world's apart like everybody else says, if you're not a fan of really sweet fragrances like Le Male and Rochas Man then i suggest you stay away from it.
Current top 5:

Not really, a good scent, but it's so distinctive, it does polarize opinions quite a lot
I hate eucalyptus wood which is used for sauna bath where i live. For me its nauseating smell, but all people love the smell. For my suprise when i first sampled body kouros this same smell was there!!! Full of eucalyptus.... Ohhh, thank god i did not buy it! Be sure you like this smell of burnt eucaliptus tree and powdery smell a lot. Its a well done frag indeed.
This was YSL's attempt to ride the coattails of JPG's monster hit "Le Male."
I prefer "Le Male" myself. I find the execution to be a bit more sophisticated.
This is a scent I consider to be a "party" or "club" fragrance. A bit too irreverent and loud for the office, work, or school.
Probably not a safe blind buy. I'd pick up some samples on eBay first.
I can't find any resemblance with Le Male, but if u say ...
One of my first blind buy's , never regret this one... Not as safe as it could be, but worth of risk.
If you like sweet fragrances you will probably like it. It is not like any in your sig! Not a safe blind buy - at least it would not be for me.
I wouldn't really consider it safe. The eucalyptus and incense notes mixed with Le Male type powdery notes are quite odd. I've owned it for a year and still go back and forth on whether I like it or not. Unlike most others, I actually don't find it that sweet. (Certainly not as sweet as Le Male, Rochas, Lolita, 1 Million, etc.) I actually think it would be a better fragrance if it was sweeter and had the vanilla from Le Male's base. Anyway, it's ok, and certainly unique and different, which could be a plus if you like it.
Kouros is by no means, a safe blind buy. It is a love it or hate it type of scent so you are much better off trying it first. Save yourself some money if you end up not liking it.
He said "Body Kouros", not "Kouros". Either way, I am of the opinion that blind buys should be avoided unless the cost of the fragrance is negligible or your ability to re-sell it, gift it, or otherwise obtain recompense is high. The chance of finding a diamond by reaching down blindly into a pile of stones is much less than getting...a...dull...rock.
BOUGHT IT BLIND AND i DO LIKE IT!
