Default Recent purchase from Le Labo.

I have sampled Le Labo's Rose 31 more than a few times trying to make up my mind if this was FBW. I had sampled previously from the Perfumed Court and Luckyscent trying to make up my mind. I decided that I was totally in love with this musky rose scent so I purchased a bottle from Le Labo directly. I had gotten a strong cumin note that I was not too fond of on 1 or 2 of the samples I had purchased. Well, this one has a strong cumin presence and I am not happy. I am currently suffering from a pretty bad cold. I was wondering with the 30 degree weather outside coupled with my cold, could my nose be playing tricks on me? Has anyone experienced a really strong cumin note with their bottles? I am hoping that this is just the first 2 sprays of my new bottle and with the weather and my headcold the cumin will fade into the background faster and give me the Rose 31 I hoped I was buying.

It's possible but you probably won't know for sure until you get over your cold.

All Rose 31 should be identical because the concentrate is already composed. All they do is add alcohol, water and the concentrate.

The cumin was much stronger to my nose on this bottle than the previous samples. In the previous samples the cumin was more of a background player. On this one the opening seems to be dominated by cumin. If that is specific enough for you?

Sorry you dont like the bottle. The cumin is what ruined it for me too. Hopefully after your cold is gone it will smell different/better.

Here on me all i can smell is a delicious cumin + rose + some musk (white musk?).
Delicious concoction. Give it a chance, the time pass and the rose musk dominate the cumin. At least on me.

That's what I find when I wear it as well. The cumin surprised me the first time I tried it, but since then it hasn't seemed as loud. I like the color it adds to the rest of the blend.

I so love cumin. Now, I'm going to have to sample Rose 31. Yet another fragrance hunt. What fun.

Colds can do things to scent perception. Wait until you are better, the frag might smell better and the world look better.

I am loving my bottle right about now! My cold is getting a lot better and the cumin isn't lasting on my skin for nearly as long as the major player. I am so excited about my new bottle and I gotta say this is definitely FBW!
