From your list I would go for L'Instant Pour Homme, and welcome to basenotes.
my bottle of "issey miyake l'eau d'issey" is just empty.
I love it, but it seemed the winter was not the best time to let it shine.
Now, I'm looking for a nice winter fragrance.
which one should i get ?
-A*Man (Angel Man) by Thierry Mugler
-La Nuit de l'homme by Yves Saint Laurent
-l'instant de guerlain by Guerlain
I don't wanna order a scent, and the lokal stores don't have such cool things as Pure Malt, l'instant extreme or Tobacco Vanille.
What do you think ? hard decision ? Please vote !
From your list I would go for L'Instant Pour Homme, and welcome to basenotes.
Welcome sideburns! Voted "La nuit de l'homme".
Thanks for your response. Great Reviews in this forum. I feel like i'm arrived in a paradise of scents.
One thing i have to mention: I don't want to smell like a girl.
(yust wanted to let you know)
I cannot comment on l'instant, no experience.
I love my A*men. Just fantastic for me this time of year in Michigan. I stay light on the spray for indoors.
I've tried la Nuit and I've tried to like it, since it is apparently a compliment getter. Its not for me, I tried wearing it during cold winter days. I cold maybe see myself wearing it on a formal occasion for winter evenings, that's it.
I would not blind buy either of them.
L'Instant de Guerlain PH would be the one I'd go for. Welcome aboard !.
The Guerlain... no question!
La Nuit de l'homme or L'Instant de Guerlain
I had an allergic reaktion to le male terrible and azzaro pour homme...so I'm not going to blind buy anything.
I will test the number one of this poll on my skin in 2 days, when I'm around a perfumery.
by the way...
Do clubbing/winter-scents have to be sweet ?
sweet is ok...I'm just asking myself.
Welcome. I voted La Nuit, albeit L'instant de Guerlain is a masterpiece.
Like them all, but my vote goes to L'Instant de Guerlain.
My vote goes to A*Men. That patchouli note is so warm and just radiates comfort to me on really cold days. (Also, I prefer the original A*Men over any of the flankers because I like the abrasiveness of the more intense tar/patchouli in the winter.)
Other good winter choices for me would be Body Kouros, Le Male, Himalaya, Brit, 1 Million, CK One Shock, Original Santal, Serge Luten's Rousse, & Tommy Bahama original. Those, along with A*Men, are my current cold weather favs.
L'Instant, by a country mile. A*Men is a toxic love-or-hate, La Nuit is bland and generic. L'Instant is easy to wear, sophisticated, and of terrific quality.
A*men, the other 2 scents are great as well but the uniqueness of A*men is unreal.
Angel Men/A*Men ... if indoors, other than clubbing, be like on the trigger ...
Just to tick a few people off...
If you are younger than 40, get La Nuit
Older than 40, get L'Instant
I'm 44 and I own both. I can't tolerate A*Men anymore.
linstant for work, la nuit otherwise is more versatile than amen
I "fear" sweet scents, but now I want to risk it.
Maybe that helps.

I vote for L'instant de Guerlain , but try A*Men.
Want to trade - Tauer LddM for Windsor, Amber Absolute, Gucci Envy....
CHEAP CREED SPLITS
Millesime Imperial, Green Irish Tweed
Not la nuit.
Although it smells really good for 1 1/2 hours, the dry down after that isn't good at all. At least for me it's not
A*Men is amazing in really cold weather, however, do try it first to see if you can get more chocolate out of it, I know people that get armpits - causes by patchouli from A*Men
Just voted A*Men. To be honest though, that's just my preference. At this time of winter, I would go for A*Men over the other two. For me, La Nuit is just okay, but not anything worth going crazy over. People might say it's "generic" and work oriented, but you can always find something unique even for those situations; there is no need for anything generic in any situation, just situation appropriate.
L'Instant is great; it would have had my vote if it were the Eau de Parfum, but the Eau de Toilette doesn't do it for me in terms of projection and longevity in the winter.
L'instant is an amazing scent for all seasons.
You might also want to try L'instant extreme it's the more chocolatey brother of l'instant.
La Nuit de l'homme. If L'instant is the extreme version I would vote for this one instead.

L'instant extreme EDP by miles
A*Men or L'Instant PH (preferably the EDP)
Don't waste any time/money/effort on La Nuit de l'Homme.

I testet L'instant de Guerlain Pour Homme today.
My Skin was ok with it. YaY.
I'll look for the extreme-Variant tomorrow, hoping for a better Opening.
Heart- and Base-notes were perfekt for me.
I think I'll stick to that for a while.
Thanks basenoters, you rock!
Because of my love to the EDT, I ordered "L'Instant De Guerlain EDP, Eau Extreme".
Today it were delivered...
...and I really adore it. Wow. What a classy cuddly scent.
Lemon, Patchouli, Cream, Cacao...Leather..some florals...Ou yeah!
Great Buy. I don't feel too young for this.
I tested the other two as well:
La nuit de l'homme is just sweet as hell
and Angel man is way too hardcore gourmand.
L'Instant de Guerlain
L'Instant, of course.
La Nuit EDT by a long shot! Not sure of your age, but I find L'Instant repulsive. I'm 21. I blind bought L'Instant from all the hype here, and ever since than I never buy a bottle blind. Lesson learned.
1) La Nuit De L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent
2) Lumière Noire pour Homme by Maison Francis Kurkdjian
3) Royal Oud by Creed
4) One Million by Paco Rabanne
5) Allure Homme Sport by Chanel

A men and La Nuit
Count me in for L'Instant de Guerlain PH.
L'Instant for sure and has many have said, the intense version is preferable.
I know it's a little late cause the thread was out a year ago. Hope you went you made the right choice.....L' Instant.

1. Spice and Wood
2. Dior Homme Parfum
3. Tonka Imperiale
4. Pure Malt
5. Bois d'Argent
6. Noir de Noir
7. Apple Brandy
8. Tobacco Vanille
9. Epic Man
10.Straight to Heaven
La Nuit is my go-to scent for most events.
A*Men is also another nice one.
If you're looking for something that is just going to be universally appealing, your best bet is YSL - La Nuit
i'm a big la nuit and l'homme fan, and this is making me consider getting some l'instant
L'instant for most occasions, but I do think La Nuit would be better for romantic evening out.
Class, Balance and refinement: Guerlain
Strength (Sillage): A*Men
Longevity: Guerlain (EDP)
Affordability: La Nuit De L'Homme (it's cheaper than A*Men in the UK)
I love La Nuit de L'Homme but against these two, it doesn't stand a chance.
