MdM White by Marc de la Morandiere
What fragrance holds your favorite Tobacco note ?
MdM White by Marc de la Morandiere
In before Tobacco Vanille onslaught.
Tribute as well for me.
It's a tie between Tabac Blond (parfum) by Caron and Vintage Tabarome by Creed
"Human interaction can be hell. Or it can be a great spiritual practice."
-- Eckhart Tolle
Fumerie Turque at present, but Nicolai pour Homme and Guerlain Vetiver are also in the running. With Domenico Caraceni not so far behind.

1. Axe Kilo
2. Lectric Shave
3. Vicks Vapor Rub
4. Febreze Pour Homme
5. Preferred Stock
+1 Tribute, which I just bought. But I also like Fumerie Turque and especially Jasmin et cigarette (where the tobacco is ashy)
TABAC, Abdes Salaam Attar Profumo
Czech & Speake Cuba (vintage of course) and Vintage Tabarome.
Right now it's Fumerie Turque.
Pure Havane, the tobacco note is airy and tea-like which is perfect for someone who against smoking like me
Tobacco Vanille or Pure Havane
Tabac Aurea (Sonoma Scent Studios) or just plain ol' Guerlain Vetiver
Tom Ford Splits!!!! - Tobacco Vanille, Tuscan Leather, Oud Wood, Noir de Noir - PATCHOULI ABSOLU
Plum Japonais, Italian Cypress, Neroli Portofino, Costa Azzura, Azure Lime, Champacca Absolute

Most of the time I am very proud of the Basenotes community. Time after time I have witnessed the thoughtfulness, empathy & genuine friendship that members of this community extend to others - oldtimers & newcomers alike. There are other times, however, when egos get the upper hand and civility goes out the window. My philosophy is that I won't say anything here that I would not say if you were standing in front of me. Welcome to Basenotes, each and every one of us. ~ TwoRoads
Feuilles de Tabac - extremely smooth as it dries down, yet not heavy or stuffy as I often find a tobacco note can be.
“I wanna say something. I’m gonna put it out there. If you like it, you can take it, if you don’t, send it right back…."
Tobacco Vanille and Pure Havane
Guerlain Vetiver. Runners-up: Chergui, The Dreamer.
He boiled for our sins.
Tabacco Vanille by Tom Ford
Gonna go out on a limb here, Back to Black
Havanna smells like the tobacco plant; not like tobacco smoke! Very nice, but very present!
Memoir Man - Amouage
Sonoma Scent Studio's Tabac Aurea. Unfortunately I'm not fond of the cedar-y note in this fragrance, but the tobacco itself is ace.
Acqua di Cuba....SMN
Don't panic. Just stay calm, and reload....

"A beautiful fragrance to the nose is like good jazz music to the ears, great food to the mouth, and Megan Fox and Jessica Alba to the eyes..."
Caron's Tabac Blond extrait. Without any hesitation. (Also one of the best leathers I know.)
Michael Kors for men.
Fumerie Turque and Tabac Blond (extrait, not overly keen on the EdP).

I'm baffled by all the votes for Tabac Blond. It's a good fragrance, but does any tobacco really smell like this?
Gucci Pour Homme (Original)

With the edp, it is unsmoked Virginian tobacco in a leather pouch. No smoke. And a lot of balsams. I think it is realistic.
The extrait, on the other hand, is a very heady tobacco indeed, with a deeper kick to it because of the smoke. Gives it a wonderful hint of acridity sometimes. And the tobacco wavers between smoked and simply present in great aromatic twists.
The misleading element is the balsams, which are there in greater quantities than in any real tobacco. (Alludes to the aromatic sweetness of tobacco, but turned up a little. But in the extrait it is turned down quite a lot.) Additionally, the leather in the extrait is so gorgeously thick that I sometimes feel that tobacco has been treated with the tanning compounds more often applied to leather - 'tanned tobacco', so to speak, which is a strange impression. I like it best when the smoke note comes out as much as possible, as it makes the whole fragrance more austere.
I love Tabac Blond. Following the enlightened model of a certain Sage of Caron on this forum, I plan to spend next Winter with it, from beginning to end.

A-Men Pure Havane
Pure Havane is sort of a wet tobacco leaf. I have TV and prefer the PH tobacco accord. But I love both scents.
Another for Pure Havane. Have gotten a full 12+ hrs with it today. Love it, it took a couple wears to get use to it and it has really grown on me.
Lots of Pure Havane fans, which is weird, because I barely get tobacco from it.
D&G Pour Homme, Tabacco Vanille.
Current top 5:
1. MDCI Chypre Palatin
2. Puredistance M
3. Roja Dove Vetiver Extrait
4. Guerlain Coriolan

Oh I forgot one of my new favorites Boss #1 has a great tobacco smell.
For all around wearability I agree with Mr Russell about Burberry For Men- but only if it's the one before last and of course, Herrera for Men.
