I mean lime.
It's batch no. A6210M01
I liked the pungent lemon. My last bottle of VIW was a very citrusy scent.
I mean lime.
omg this has horrible longevity too. DAMN YOU CREED!

I never got much lime out of mine which was bough when first released from Neiman Marcus.

I'd keep it. It will grow on you.
Looking to swap…look for my thread on the trade page. May be interested in buying Amouage. Having fun with shower gels. If you want to get rid of yours or swap for frags, give me a shout!
OMG, how could that happened?
Never mind about the lack of longevity. I think I was smelling it too much.
Is this thread real?
Well the creeds these days have been dealing with quality control issues these days. I have not bought any lately. I hope things turn around.
You should not be happy.
Oh, and VIW? Maybe I should try it now; my biggest complaint used to be that the lime overpowered the rest of the scent.
Current Top Five:
1. Creed Green Irish Tweed
2. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
3. Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte
4. Bond No. 9 New Haarlem
5. Creed Original Vetiver
I really wanted to like VIW. I loved it for the first half an hour and then nothing. Talk about longevity issues.
My VIW has an initial, short-lived burst of lime followed by light coconut. It definitely has overall longevity issues but I still like it very much.
If you are not happy with it, then return it if possible. I wanted to like this one, but longevity sucks.
Mine smells of too much lime. You (we) should be unhappy that Creed can't control the strength of these basic ingredients to a point where there is some consistency.
With a note like lime, there should be no excuse for being able to control it. It isn't as if the lime season varied so much that it caused such a disparity.
It's lack of quality control or reformulation (for whatever reason).
long-lasting Creed = "Creed is using too many synthetics these days. They are really going downhill."
short-lived Creed = "Creed is using too many naturals these days. They are really going downhill."
Perhaps your bottle is from a batch for which smaller limes were used as too many griffins had blocked out the sun in Creed's garden that summer.
Someone probably diluted it with baby oil.
I at one point had a batch of VIW that had a ton of lime, and the tiare flower, sugar, and coconut were all weak. Maybe we should mix our bottles together OP !!
Would it kill creed to stir the mixture a little more thoroughly before bottling ?....because these variations shouldn't be this extreme in scents that are predominantly synthetic like VIW.
