Wink Your top 5 fragrances before you knew Basenotes

This makes me appreciate basenotes a lot.

Here are my top 5 fragrances before I visite BN.
    - Cool Water
    - Le Male
    - Chanel Platinum Egoiste
    - One Million
    - Polo Black

After BN I have a lot of scents for different situations. Now I have some scent that I will use all my life.

    Nice memory exercise.

    XS (mainly that)

    also:

    Jazz
    Azzaro
some cheap stuff that was supposed to be a copy of Fahrenheit (that one was really good, I emptied 3 or 4 bottles in sequence, and inevitably garnered compliments, way more than the "good" Fahrenheit!)
some cheap imitation of Cool Water
some now discontinued or reformulated fragrances from O Boticário

    From those, only Azzaro remains.

Here is my shitty line up:

Cool Water (WTF was I thinking? Can't stand it now)
    Acqua di Gio (hate it)
    (the rest are decent)
    Armani Code
    Gucci Envy
    Polo Blue

    Thank God for Basenotes!

    Fun topic

    1. Acqua di Parma
    2. Eau Sauvage
    3. CK Eternity (didn't we all have this at one point?)
    4. CK Calvin (back in the day)
    5. Benetton Colours (also back in the day)

Before Basenotes, I NEVER had more than one bottle at a time. I must have worn AdP for about 5 years exclusively.

In the order I wore them starting at the age of 15:

    Polo (not for long)
    Azzaro pour Homme (vintage)
    Paco Rabanne pour Homme (vintage)
    Bel Ami (vintage)
    Eau Sauvage (vintage)
    Habit Rouge vintage edc
    Vetiver (vintage, Guerlain)
Armani Eau pour Homme (seemed great then, not anymore)
Bijan for Men (same as above)
Eau d'Hadrien (not bad but fairly unnecessary)

Azzaro pour Homme and Paco Rabanne pour Homme were great allies for the early morning and often nearly indefinitely postponed wake-ups. Different chemicals for different times. :-)

Talking about 'cute SAs pushing the frag du jour', I do not know why the SA at Chanel Counter in my local mall always push me to buy Bleu after countless time I said I do not like it.
This same mall had displayed Egoiste, but did not have it in stock and the SA pushed me Bleu.

Before BN most of my perfumes are Tommy Hilfiger, Polo, Cool Water, Le Male, and some Chanel.
