    Default I love terre d'hermes!!!

I'm absolutely adoring my sample of Terre D'Hermes. I think ANY age can pull this off as long as they dress nice. I dont mean suit and tie. Just a polo shirt or a v neck sweater or something. I think Winter is definitely the season for this as well. I think about goign to swap my 1 million for this...

I'm starting to like this genre of fragrance. With this in mind, do you guys recommend me other scents like this that can be placed under the manly, semi spicy, formal, MODERN fragrances

I love it as well! Especially the Parfum.

Have you tried Issey Miyake Intense? I like that one too.

I have to say i'm pretty suprised you like this one, considering your taste, but i guess this shows how one's taste/nose is always evolving. I love this as well, and i have the edt & parfum. It's extremely versatile and is great year round, not just winter. It shines in the summer just as well!

As far as other scents that are similiar, Cartier Declaration is very similiar and Montale's Red Vetiver i believe it is, that has very similiar.

So how is the compliment factor on this one for you? Since you seem to get lots of love with your other frags, i'm assumign this did well?

No I havent. I bought it off a Basenoter and they pulled out and gave me my money back

But damn. I liked this stuff simply sampling it on the back of my hand, but WEARING it is truly a whole other dynamic. Amazing

Encre Noir was the first scent that came to mind for me as well since you love TdH (I do too, of course). CdG Wonderwood is also a scent you may enjoy (similar to Encre Noir, but with an incredible dry-down).

Agreed, it's a GREAT summer fragrance and sweating doesn't turn it sour on me.

It's the 1st frag I ever tried that wowed me.

The parfum version is well worth it if you love the EDT... It's similar, yet different enough I'm happy to own both. Also, if you do own both you can layer them, which works really well too...

You're starting to grow up Jonny! I agree it's a great fragrance, I bought myself a bottle for Christmas. In fact you've just inspired me to make it my SOTD. I agree with the others, Encre Noire is another great fragrance in the same vein. I think you're quite partial to the Iso Super E hit. You should check out Rose 31 next.

Great suggestion here. Johnnie, I don't recall see you posting much about rosed based frags, I have a feeling you will slowly start to love them if you haven't yet. Rose31 is a good place to start.

i love TdH in the Parfum form. i'm actually on the hunt for a used bottle if anyone wants to get rid of their's *hint, hint*

anyway, i had the EDT and it just didn't work for me. it was cold and mineral like after the initial citrus burned off. it smelled like asphalt and dust on me.

i tried TdH Parfum, and boy what a difference! the parfum is rounder and more aromatic. the citrus sticks around and gives it an approachable, more understandable version of vetiver. it's like the mineral and vegetal aspects are suspended and wrapped up so it's not as cold and transparent feeling. it has a very classic men's grooming scent in my mind almost like YSL Rive Gauche or Polo Green minus the biting/syrupy/powdery/stinging notes. the EDT also stays very linear on my skin, whereas the Parfum has a few very distinct phases.

What do you like about it? I've sampled it and felt it wasn't suitable for someone under the age of 40... and guess what, a balding middle aged man was wearing it on the bus and I thought yes... this is exactly who I'd imagine would were a fragrance like this.

Have you tried wearing it in public? I'd be interested to hear what others around your age have to say about this fragrance. I'm 21 and I did not like it... I still have some of the sample left, I might give it another try but doubt I would change my mind unless I missed something on the previous wearing.

I like Honour Man, but it in no way resembles TdH, IMO... I find Honour a lot closer to Amouage's own Epic Man, actually.

I really dont understand the reviews that call this offensive...I cant imagine is offending anyone. Really, IMO, its a safe scent. But the beautiful thing about this (and fragrance in general) is that it is suited to a certain style and attitude. If you are a character out of jersey shore, I can imagine this would not go good with you. If you dress with a little more class, even if its casual (but still nice) clothing, this would be good for you

Jonny, IMO, TdH is a very classy and well-made fragrance. Hermes doesn't put out fragrances (or anything else, for that matter) that aren't high quality.
