Default I just bought my first cologne ever. It was made more than 3 years ago, is that ok?

I decided to buy L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent.

Checked the batch number on http://checkcosmetic.net/ and it said it was made in November 2008 and that it is out of it's shelf life?

Do fragrances expire? Should I worry?

You should be fine. Enjoy your purchase.

Fragrances don't go off if subject under normal store/mall conditions, as long as its unopened and not subject to light, heat, and mishandling. If you open your fragrance and it still smells ok (none of the strong alcohol smell) then it's fine.

Properly stored fragrances will keep for many decades.

    Hi there,

Its frangrance is too good and good quality. Even I would use something unscented so it doesn't interfere with the scent. That way your skin is still hydrated so the fragrance lasts longer and you still smell the same. I dont think its fragrance be lost. If you HAVE to use a scented one, I would maybe pick something light and citrus, or verbena.

    Cheers!!

You should be fine like others have said, but if you can detect a big difference between your purchase and the tester/sample you used to try it out, I'd take it back.
