    Be careful with the older Mary Chess scents. This one dates from 1955 according to Perfume Intelligence website.

    I have her Lily of the Valley in a square bottle from the 1950s-- the top notes are all but gone and what remains is a powdery base.

    I also have an atomizer of her White Lilac bought on eBay new in box (embossed gold foil box)-- the top notes are a bit off on that. My mother wore this scent as I was growing up so I know what it is supposed to smell like. It is still wearable but not what it used to be.

    I think you have to expect some deterioration.
