    Default Boyfriend by Kate Walsh

Smelled this at Sephora and really liked it but already had three samples. Anyone who has worn it all day or has an opinion?

I sampled this fragrance a few months back. Initially, in the store it smelled nice on paper so I asked for a sample and also put a small spray on my wrist. Big mistake. On me, after a short while it smelled like sweaty t-shirts. Not b.o. smelling: rather a smell of just having run 10 k and not washing the t-shirt for a week and then putting the shirt back on (YUK). Have I grossed you out yet? lol. Well that's what it smelled like and I couldn't scrub bit off soon enough! It made me nauseous. Nothing against boyfriends, though. Hopefully you have a more positive experience.

Haven't tried this yet, but many ladies on MUA really like it.

Well after I posted this I broke down and bought it. Tried it now three times and I think I'm gonna have to return it. Loed the heady vanilla but it is overpowered by the myrrh and smells like a church. Also I get a headache which I think is from the Night blooming Jasmine.

It smells like an attempt at Tom Ford's Black Orchid. Not as rich as Black Orchid, nor as long lasting.

VERY NICE, I think the amber (ambergris) and musk is what gives it a nice twist on the generic sweet gourmand. I am very impressed.

Kevin Guyer said it reminded him of Eau des Merveilles and I see what he means...except this one's a bit lighter. And cheaper.

I had no idea who Ms. Walsh was before I Googled her.

I like Kate Walsh, but this fragrance really put me off somehow. I get the comparison to EdM totally, though. And that's one I love, so I am going to revisit this based on the positive reviews here.

It's a very good fragrance - and even more surprising for being a "celebrity fragrance".

A couple of days ago I smelled it for the first time at Sephora and thought it was very interesting. I regretted not having the courage to ask for a sample.
I still don't know who this Kate Walsh is. Googling now!

Yes - it had a lot of gravitas for a new release of any kind. I was getting the impression of a very accessible Opium flanker.
