Default Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier - sprayer & logo variations?

So I've just bought my first MPG frags (they are amazing BTW!) and one bottle is different to the rest.
It has a different logo, details "Eau de Toilette PARIS" on the front bottom and shorter sprayer.

    Does anyone know why?

Have they changed at some stage?

I don't have OCD but I must admit to being a little discomforted by the lack of uniformity.

Anyway I'm mainly just curious. This is absolutely not an "is my bottle fake" thread.

    Here's a pic:

The one I had received in the mail about a week ago was the large top. I find the shorty more visually appealing. I noticed something similar with Xerjoff, which was a tiny bit bothersome for $300 bottles. At that price I want those suckers to be identical from top to bottom.

The bottle on the left is the older one--with the more ornate motif. It is the 100 ml.

The newer bottle on the right also has a label on the back with details. This is also 100 ml.

The even older bottles were the red faceted glass bottles and came in the 90 ml.

My favs are Parfum d'Habit, Jardin du Nil and Pour Le Jeune Homme. The Magnolia Pourpre, sold as a feminine and possible discontinued, is a wonderful floral leather.

I don't know why the bottles changed but the oldest style that primrose described (somewhat lighter red and faceted) were cheap looking. I think the newer bottles look much better for the niche price.

the one on the left looks far superior. reminds me of vintage death metal album covers.

Just checked. All 16 of mine are either like the one on the left or the type with faceted glass

I'll check mine. I have a few vintage ones and a newer one (July 2011 purchase from the Paris boutique).

I've to check mines...I never realised there were different logos in the current versions. Thanks for pointing this out Laph, and thanx to Primrose for the explanation...

I was just trying to decant a little of these and noticed that the short sprayer is fixed whereas the tall ones can be unscrewed.

So, they've basically gone from fixed to screw caps? I would have expected the opposite somehow.

Anyway, just thought I'd point it out in case anyone's interested.

Yes, the bottle on the left is an old one.
Regarding the Magnolia Pourpre, even in their own boutique it is impossible to have it, but they have a nice new leather floral: CUIR FETICHE.

The original 90ml red faceted bottles were tall screwcaps, so it looks like they've gone back to that. I actually prefer that, those sprayers were more reliable than the fixed ones, and easier to decant, tc. The older fixed ones were often leaky, or failed to spray and you couldnt get the perfume out cause it was fixed on!

I also like the new version of the logo! My favourite bottles were the 90ml ones, but these with new logo are slick. Didnt like the giant ornate logo, but liked it when it was small on the 90ml bottle.

Does anyone know if they're back to their original formulas? They messed with them a little a couple of years ago, perhaps to save money and stave off bankruptcy, and I wonder if they went back now that theyre doing better.
