Default Lutens blind buy vol.2 : Daim Blond

Well, it's kinda weird for me to say that i've bought this.

As i've said in my previous (and very first ) post,i was after the more mascuiline of the Lutens line.
But for some odd reason, except the discount price,i decide to give DB a try.

The first impression was quite fruity.Apricot-yes!
Strangely, the apricot is blending with the suede note that comes after not so well as i expect it to blend.

But when the suede takes over ,leaving the apricot on the suportive role,it's getting really better.Suede with fruits.

On the drydown, there is a woody-pencil like note (Virginian Cedar?) with Iris. That combo creates a really ''cold'' aspect on this frag.

I should probably post this on the Female Fragrance Discussion, because IMO it is a totaly female frag.Forget the whole ''unisex'' thing about this,it's not for a man.Period.

On my girlfriend smells totaly different, more sweet and smooth.
Overall it's a feminine and classy perfume, and it has character.

Not for anyone-defentely not for me!!

I probably going to sell it some time in the future,(along with douce amere)so i can get a bottle of Fumerie turque or Cuir Mauresque(seems very promising).

Shame to hear you and DB aren't getting along.

Cuir Mauresque is lovely, I hope you like that one. It really is one of the best true leathers and the opening blast is unique. I know Fumerie Turque gets a lot of love but from my testing of it the sweetness is too much for me.

Don't get me wrong, i like both Douce Amere and Daim Blond (Especialy Douce amere, which i liked even more since i first sniff it..).
It's just that i want something from the SL line that will really amaze me..

Chergui ,for example, is amazing ,complex and intoxicating.
    I'll go that way...

You really do have to try out the Lutens line, even though I wouldn't purchase Daim Blond, I'd rate it above Chergui, and in my opinions Chergui is one of the least impressive in the line I've tried.
I've only found 2 Lutens to own at the minute and I'm on a hunt for the next.

As for it being too feminine, I'm not so sure. Suede and apricots, it's not exactly pink bubblegum and fruit salad.

Im not saying it's feminine because of some notes,it has a feminine character as a result of composition.
Can't imagine a man wearing it.
