I actually ate my words, stepped back into the game, and re-ordered a bottle of Timbuktu on Friday. I just got a shipping confirmation number email; fingers crossed!

When did you order, birdboy? I ordered when the offer first struck - but no god damn Timbuktu for me. HRMF!

Just received my shipping notice for Voleur de Roses - shipped via Fedex - but most likely delivered by USPS.
Still some Voleur de Roses left, and I decided to pull the trigger. Also threw in Premier Figuier as fig is a personal favorite and it was the only other one left.
Just like you all, crossing my fingers!

I still haven't got my credit back, but seeing as everybody's getting shipped the items that were arbitrarily denied to me one week ago, all I have got to say is: &@#%!
Now, more than ever, I am cursing fragrancenet and sticking needles in their voodoo doll.

Congrats to all of you who got shipments this time!
My sympathies to those who are still getting the run-around.

arggh ...............................ANNOYED............ .... they cancelled 13 bottles of my shipment...i only got 5 sent to me. BOO...they said because it was over $500 they had to put mine on hold to verify funds and CC scams. I wish i had know that I would have done 2 smaller shipments....and the 2 i REALLY REALLY wanted were of course cancelled.![]()
Oh man that hurts!
I ordered Mûre et Musc Cologne and M7... got a shipping confirmation.

According to my shipping notice, all three of the things I ordered are on the road, and somewhere in the Midwest now.
Yeah, it was like they sold out of everything, and then a few more things dribbled back onto their list in the next day or so.Still some Voleur de Roses left, and I decided to pull the trigger. Also threw in Premier Figuier as fig is a personal favorite and it was the only other one left.
Who would have thought ? But yes, not the sort of deal that was going to stick around while they were fussing around verifying your funds. Bummer for sure....they cancelled 13 bottles of my shipment...i only got 5 sent to me. BOO...they said because it was over $500 they had to put mine on hold...
A good reason to be angry, I would say. I hope you've let them know how you feel.I still haven't got my credit back, but seeing as everybody's getting shipped the items that were arbitrarily denied to me one week ago, all I have got to say is: &@#%!

Please let us know if more stuff comes in stock. I really want to try navigateur
Just got my 1.7 oz Patchouli Patch and 3.4 oz Voleur de Roses. Both are unboxed but were unsprayed. Also, both are the old style bottles. I'm so glad to finally have Voleur de Roses-- it's been eluding my wardrobe for 7 years now and I finally have it.
Patchouli Patch is one that I always had a minor interest in. It's good, yet simple. Also, I didn't think I liked the old design of the 1.7 oz bottles, but they're so much nicer than in the pictures.
I also got Serge Lutens Cuir Mauresque today from eBay, so my arms are totally covered. I need a bath to wash everything off and start over with just ONE of these scents tonight!
Got an email stating that the Jatamansi I ordered was out of stock.
Really displeased with Fragrancenet right now, and that's an understatement.

This together with a whole raft of other issues concerning fragrancenet is making me extremely sceptic to order anything from them. Too bad, their website and layout is great - but their customer service and way of conducting business is just plain bad.
My bottle of 3.4 Oz Timbuktu (without box) just arrived. I expected much longer delivery time than 7 work days. Bottle itself is without box, old design and unused (I had to spray 3x before juice came out). They also gave me 2 free samples. So far I am happy with my buy and Timbuktu will be my staple during summer days with Acqua Di Gio.
One more cautionary tale:
It's been my experience that if you order an expensive fragrance from FN, they send it via FedEx with a signature requirement. In my case, FedEx would only deliver during my work hours on the week days and after three attempts their policy is to return to sender.
My work hours exceed when FedEx delivers with signature required option so the only way I could retrieve my fragrance was to have them hold the package at their distribution center (22 miles away) and pick it up during a rushed lunch break.
Signature required can be a real pain, but then I guess so is losing a package left on the porch. It's just something to keep in mind when ordering.

I agree with you. They have signature confirmation for any purchase over $250 dollars.
After being out of stock of Timbuktu which I ordered on May 4 and got info that it was out of stock on May 8. I then ordered Bleecker St on May 10.
I received my Bleecker St yesterday. The damn postal worker did 2 knocks at my door I got to the door in 3 seconds and damn if he hadn't already dropped the package and got in his damn truck. I was pissed.
So for reasons like this delivery confirmation would be very helpful especially when living in an apt complex. If I had my own house with a porch I would be fine.
Fragrancenet did explain to me that if an order is placed via phone that delivery confirmation can be requested. I will probably do this from now on.
Also to people having issues with fragrancenet refunding their money. I received mine the same day I got confirmation that my product was out of stock. In my situation they acted swiftly. So hopefully you guys will get your money very soon.
Fragrancenet are doing themselves no favours with this sale...if you sign up for notification when their stock is available, you get spam mail, if you manage to order they cancel or part fulfill orders without informing you of what exactly you are getting , when they cancel you are left waiting for a refund. What a shambles.
Ehh, maybe it's just my computer but every webpage on FragranceNet takes 5 minutes to load. Aside from my personal grumblings, I too might be a little skeptical from here on out for high demand items from the site. Unfortunately, I'll have to scrutinize my purchases a little more from now on.

It looks to me like I'm going to receive my items with no hassle, so you gotta wonder what I did that was any different from what anyone else did ? Maybe it's simply dumb luck, but there could be some differences.
As far as delivery, signatures, etc is concerned, these problems may revolve around their decision to use FedEx ( and have FedEx do the actual delivery) or them deciding to do the version of FedEx where FedEx passes the package off to the Postal Service for final delivery.
I'm out of town now, and simply put a hold on my mail. When I get home I should be able to just go down to my local post office and pick the thing up.
In consideration of the various possible problems, as was mentioned above, on large orders, probably the best procedure would be to make an order over the phone and confirm the details, rather than simply letting their computers wing it.
Not sure if their folks can actually confirm if something is still in stock at that exact moment or not, but perhaps they can ?
.
In regard to the bolded they are able to check.
I called one day just to ask them if they had a particular fragrance because it had on stock on the website the lady told me they did have it in stock. Not sure what he process was to check but she said it was in stock.
I know scented monkey is able to do it with no problem.
Voleur de Roses is incredible stuff. The bottle I got was unboxed and the juice was a little on the dark side-- but it had never been sprayed. I was a tad worried that the topnotes would be muted- but I sprayed it on and it was amazing as ever. Patchouli tends to darken over time and it's also one of the oils that gets better as it ages.
I'm beyond thrilled to have gotten a big bottle of this for basically peanuts. It really is one of the best patchouli/masculine rose scents ever made. Very raw and earthy but refined.
