Default Another date thread (for the complete fragrance novice)

I'm 29, out of a bad long relationship, and pretty tired of disappointing dates.
And finally I have a date I'm really looking forward to tomorrow, so I want to make the least amount of mistakes.
I have a pretty bad nose, I can't distinguish woody from citrus, or if something is suited for night, day, summer or winter.
The perfumes I have in my "collection" are just ones I bought sporadically if they smelled good to me, or I got them as gifts.

    So my options are

    1) Emporio Armani
    2) Abercrombie Fierce
    3) D&G The One (after shave)
    4) Guerlain Homme EDT
    5) Terre D'Hermes EDT
    6) Platinum Egoiste
    7) Bvlgari Man

The intro wasn't important but I wanted you guys to feel the mood

I know a guy who owns Terre de Hermes and he smells amazing. I'd go with that. Good luck on your date man, things will look up for ya

I've had luck using Guerlain Homme so I'd go with that

D&G The One EdT would be an even better option.

I'm not sure if TdH is the proper dating fragrance. I'd rather go with somethin a little more light which will draw a person in.

    Platinum Egoiste is the move.

I would go with Terre as well. It's never let me down, but maybe go easy on the trigger. You don't state where you are geographically, but I would probably go with the Parfum version of this, given that it's autumn in my part of the world. If it's going to be a warm night, go with the EdT.

I guess it's down to PE & TdH, we'll see what the mood will be like tomorrow.

I'd go for Fierce but Bulgari Man is also very sexy.

Bulgari Man by Bulgari - a classy scent, with masculine, floral and green nuances, along with woods.

I'd go with 2 sprays of Platinum Egoiste; and I agree with the person who said TdH is not a good choice. It's great for work, yes. But not necessarily inviting for a date given the dry character IMO.

Darn, I thought for a second you put down The One EDT. Oh well, second best would be a tie between Platinum Egoiste and Fierce

Went for PE as it was the majority. I think it went well (due to perfume or not)
    Thanks everyone!

Platinum Egoiste would have been my choice as well. I would've said D&G The One if it had been the edt, but since the edt is already kinda weak on longevity, the aftershave probably wouldn't make it out the door.

I am partial to Bvlgari Man. Think it's the most "masculine" of your list. My wife likes that one also.

TdH for me. It's classy, easy to smell, and definitely nice enough for a date.
