Eau de Balenciaga is my favourite. Balenciaga's first fragrance for men- it's classy and timeless to me.

Acqua di Parma Colonia for both, classic Eau de Cologne and the fact that it lasts on me longer than others have reported.
4711 because it is THE classic and if applied right lasts longer than most think.

My favorite and longest lasting Eau de Cologne is Tabac Original EDC, while my favorite 'classic citrus' EDC is 4711 Echt Kölnisch Wasser.

Many of my favorites have been mentioned, I would add Farina Gegenüber (pre-1960s vintage only), Eau d'Orange Verte, Monsieur Balmain, Eau de Menton and Florascent Regia.

It's neither "classic" nor EDC, as has been mentioned, but the longevity on Tom Ford Neroli Portofino is good. Smells great. I'm a fan.

How did I miss this thread? I haven't seen a good EdC thread in a while. I'd go with Lorenzo Villoresi Acqua di Colonia, Roger & Gallet EV, CS Neroli, or Acqua di Parma Colonia.

To me, Mugler's Cologne is the freshest and longest-lasting, Hermes' Eau d'Orange Vert is the most iconic, and YSL's original Pour Homme is a better version of the citrus up front, dirty-in-the-drydown genre than Patou's.

Eau De Guerlain is surely one of the most tenacious EDC type of stuff but, despite it doesn't last long I'm also quite of a sucker for Chanel Eau De Cologne.

Would you guys say that Allure Homme Sport Cologne would fit that description?

Worn it last night to go to a Pizzeria and god, that´s a good old style citrus...

If you're going animalic, don't forget Czech & Speake's Citrus Paradisi... it does for grapefruit what YSL pH does for lemon. Civet and grapefruit... pew!

Does it have "classic" citrus/colognesturcture? I don't know, but I find Iskander (parfums d'Empire) a wonderfull one, and on my skin it's very longlasting!

Boucheron pour Homme EDP for me.

Signoricci 2, YSL pour Homme and original Eau Sauvage being right next to it.

Rather fond of Cologne Gingembre by YSL, but it's longevity is dreadful!

My favorites are "M for Monsieur" by Marc de la Morandiere, "Tuscan Soul" by Farragamo and "Jordache for men".
But you have to try Bigelow No. 1821 "Winter Lemon" and Bigelow No. 1999 "Lemon" before anything else

This post inspired me...for Valentine's day I'll be receiving a bottle of Guerlain Eau de Cologne Imperiale!

I can't wait to try this classic.

I'm expecting something bright, fizzy, and short lasting.

    Blenheim Bouquet !!!!!!!!!

  27. #57

Default Re: Favorite Eau de Cologne / classic citrus

Oh god am I a complete sucker for these! Own Jean Marie Farina, Armani Eau pour Homme, YSL pour Homme and Blenheim Bouquet, had buyers remorse at the counter with bottles of Eau Dynamisante, Eau de Rochas Homme, Monsieur de Givenchy or Kenzo Power Cologne in my hand, and I'm currently hankering for some Concentre de Pamplemousse Rose.

Which smells the best, for me? One of Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa, Eau du Sud or Eau de Guerlain.

For long lasting, I've not tried even half of Dullahs list, but Eau de New York, Bigarade Concentre, Tangerine Vert and Neroli Portofino really last on me.
