Guerlain must have the best looking bottles hands down.
Thread: My favourite fragrance bottle
I have to say my favourite fragrance bottle design is Gucci pour homme 2003, brown lid, brown juice in clear glass solid & heavy design. What's your favourite bottle design
Guerlain must have the best looking bottles hands down.
Cartier Roadster and Mugler's Ice*Men are two of my favorite bottle designs. Also, I think most all of the Bond No. 9 bottles are gourgeous.
When I initially saw these bottles, they seemed unremarkable and kind of impractical. But the devil is in the details. The teardrop shape fits perfectly in your hand, and they are etched from the inside (the "Shadow" is etched on the inside back while the "JAR" is on the inside front). It's my favorite bottle now.
I really like all my Thierry Mugler flasks, even with the horrible sprayer. Also, I'll echo the Gucci but mine will have to be PH2, I just like the light blue juice with the gold.
Lartisan. Heavy duty caps, thick glass. Beauty
I can't think of the bottle right now. But my favorite bottles in general are classic and simple, like these ones:
I love this one:
“Accept His Noodly Magnificence into your heart and ye shall forever be free.” Ragu
Guerlain's Bee bottles!
Formidable Homme is one of my favorites
I would have to say New Haarlem
shalimar parfum initial is a pretty nice bottle
My personal favourite of what I own is: The Whiskey like bottle of Chevignon:
Very good frag as well!
My Top '10' : (In no particular order)
- Dolce & Gabbana: Pour Homme (vintage)
- Paco Rabanne: Pour Homme (vintage)
- Loewe: Esencia/Pour Homme/Solo/7
- Davidoff: Leather Blend Edp
- Dior: Eau Sauvage Parfum
- MPG: Santal Noble
- Guerlain: Vetiver
- Van Cleef & Arpels: Pour Homme
- Hermes: Terre d'Hermes
- YSL: Kouros (Fraicheur)
dior homme intense
i also think bond no9 bottles are real unique and fun
I agree that Guerlain has some wonderful designs, like the Mitsouko classic and +1 for the bee bottle.
The Corolan bottle is very unique!
As for the new Voyages bottles (simple bottle) or the wooden bottles of Lupin, Voyou or the new Derby, those wooden bottles are hideous!
Right now I am loving the silver Kenzo Power bottle. Like Chevignon (a whiskey bottle), Power is based on a sake decanter--Japanese simplicity with the punch of modern silver.
I also like the Caron monument bottles, best with the stopper:
"No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this." Desert Rose by Sting and Cheb Mami, Album 1999.
"I am a robot and I like cheese"
1. Axe Kilo
2. Lectric Shave
3. Vicks Vapor Rub
4. Febreze Pour Homme
5. Preferred Stock
Encre Noire. Could easily be an old ink bottle on the corner of the desk.
Gucci PH II, Creed, By Kilian, Tom Ford's Private Blend (Brown bottles only! Those other colors they released them in fucked it all up!), Guerlain's L'Art et la Matiere line and Serge Lutens.
I think Bond bottles should do away with the stickers, makes them look cheap!
The Dior Homme bottles are nice.
My favorite are the simple rectangle Serge Lutens 50mls.
Want to trade - Tauer LddM for Windsor, Amber Absolute, Gucci Envy....
CHEAP CREED SPLITS
Millesime Imperial, Green Irish Tweed
Bee bottles, bell jars, Creed flacons, Amouage attars
In terms of color and design, I love the way the Hermessences look all together, with the colored leather wrapped around the caps echoing the tint that subtly changes along the bottle. All in a row, they look fantastic.
But, in terms of pure practicality, I like the Lutens export bottles, tall and thin. They look nice and don't take up much counter space, though they tend to fall like dominoes whenever anyone touches them when they're displayed at stores.
Has everyone checked out my Top 100 Blog??
My absolute favorites are:
Otherwise I really like the Serge Lutens bell jars and the current Caron extrait flacons.
This. I don't own one but I would like to.
My preference goes out to very simple, classic bottle shapes, along the lines of most Chanels (especially No. 5), Knize Ten, Armani Eau pour Homme and a few in this style
Hermès colognes (all three, esp. Eau de Gentiane Blanche)
The iconic Chanel No.5 crystal top.
Guerlain Eau de Cologne, 1930s-1980s
I will have a think of my favourite "sophisticated" bottle, but in terms of a more contemporary design, I do love:
Some great suggestions so far in Bond No. 9, Bvlgari Aqva and Bleu de Chanel.
Lancome - Hypnose Homme
...and most Andy Tauer fragrances
"The most beautiful sea hasn’t been crossed yet. The most beautiful child hasn’t grown up yet. The most beautiful days we haven’t seen yet. And the most beautiful words I wanted to tell you... I haven’t said yet…"
-Nazim Hikmet Ran
I think the design of almost all of the Bond No. 9 bottles I've seen is vomit inducingly tacky and outrageously horrible... Just so you know...
Any of the Creed Flacons
Right now I think that I have all the fragrances that I want.
I love most of Bond No 9's bottles... but THIS is the holy grail
I haven't really thought about the actual bottles however I do like the Creed Flacons, Geo F Trumper "crown top" bottles, Chanel Les Exclusifs bottles but more than anything.....
The picture does not do this crystal bottle justice.
For good, anatomic reasons, scent fosters memory more readily than any other sense.
My favorite 'modern' bottle design is:
M Generation for Men by Mauboussin
If I'm feeling tacky.
Tom Ford Private Blend 50/100ml bottles.
Dior Homme line.
Merely, I have this original 1930s ad hanging at my wall...
The bottle pictured in my first post was the smaller size (I assume 1oz.) with the aviation themed placque on the bottle, whereas the bigger size (2 oz.?) had the same placque incorporated into the stopper. I 'renovated' this bottle... it's a stunner! Such an artistic, detailed work!
My Fav is Armani Prive Collection. So Elegance and Unique!
As for me, my fav are the following:
and most of Salvador Dali frag bottles
I love this pharmaceutical outfit, as well as his hypnotic timeless blend..

I think that Gucci bottle is fantastic. I'd like an apartment in NYC that looked like that.
What do you do with the BOXES? I have so many cool ones I can't bear to throw out. The Gucci pour Homme bottle and box belong in a museum.
Not my favourite by a long shot but do much prefer the new Diptyche bottles
