Default Has Boss Number One been reformulated?

When this was in its original incarnation (was it just called Hugo Boss?) I remember a small dab of the EDT used to last hours and hours. I've just received a bottle of Boss Number One and I've had to top up almost every 3 hours or so.

Yes, it is. I have a post comparing each here:

It's not THAT good anymore, but still the best from the house.

My feeling is that a lot of people won't be able to tell the difference. However, I have had an original Boss Cologne, then another one without it saying anything (no Number One or Cologne), then a newer one, which is Number One, but it could be several years old (don't have the boxes). The point is that there may have been several formulations, which differ a bit because it's not possible to get it exactly the same as a previous batch from years ago, unless it's totally synthetic, which I don't think it is. And so this may be an issue of "batch variations" rather than "reformulations."

i have the hugo boss without the no. 1. it definitely lasts longer than the no.1 that are being sold in the malls nowadays. scent-wise, i also find something missing in the current formulation. all in all, for those who have not tried the vintage version, i guess they will still like the current one. but for those who have tried the vintage, the new one doesn't quite cut it.

Among the number 1 spray bottles there are two reformulations (in my opinion) I find the inner tube makes a clear difference. Around 10 years ago (at least) the tube was thick. I think in the recent years they changed it to a slim tube. I own both, and definitedly there is a difference. The modern slim tube fragrance smells great, a lot of honey there, but longevity and particularly sillage is weak. The other version is deeper, longer lasting and the juice is darker.
