Default Why is Aventus totally clear ?

I'm no expert on essential oils, so hopefully someone can answer this. If it's got a large percentage of naturals, shouldn't it have at least a little color to it? Notes are "Blackcurrant, Bergamot, French Apple, Pineapple.
    Rose, Birch, Jasmine, Patchouli.
    Oakmoss, Ambergris, Musk and Vanilla."

    Thanks.

Have you ever peed in a swimming pool and did the pool turn yellow?

I have mixed tobacco absolute with a lot of things and the result was about the same blackness of the absolute, despite no more than about 20% of it being in there and everything else being clear (another frag and vodka).

Perhaps the majority of essential oils used in Aventus is clear and colorless. Looking at the listed notes I can't really think of a color that might show up prominently. What color would you expect it to be?

No idea, which is why I ask. However, I would expect at least a slight yellowish.

I've often wondered this myself, but I think the clearness fits Aventus perfectly

Well I know it's possible to dye the yellowish colors from the oils. (Many oils have that yellowish/gold tint to them). Is it possible to dye them clear though?

Uh oh, are we now going to have threads about different Aventus colors, with tiny gradations of pale, light yellow? LOL.

Haha If you want to i guess! I have pics i can post.
I just thought that the "fixed"2011 batches were like that because my 2010 was clear...........

We could talk about viscosity and specific gravity variations also.

Not all are clear. Some of them are more clear than others.
Even 2 of my 500ml flacons from the same batch very in color. Go figure.

well, the only explanation is that one of the flacons must be from a parallel universe - you've got a rare collectible item!

Birch Tar, Oakmoss, Patchouli, and Vanilla are all very highly pigmented naturals.

So it can evaportate and fade away as instantly as possible? Kidding, but this scent doesn't last long at all on me - what a shame!

Thanks for the useful information. Now, the off topic discussion of urine color may continue, presumably. LOL.

I think the premise about the "large percentage of naturals" is inaccurate. It has a large percentage of clear alcohol. Aventus is likely among the Creed fragrances with the lowest natural/ synthetic ratio. That being said, it does not smell phony. I greatly enjoy it when I wear it. BTW, I didn't think you wore Aventus or any Creed Bigsly??!!

Yes, I got a decant and I like it. I have tried about a dozen Creeds over the last 5 years, if not more. I'm not sure what the relevance of that question is, though.
