Spiritueuse Double Vanille
I prefer Tonka Imperiale.
Want to trade - Chanel Platinum Egoiste for Dior Eau Sauvage...
I prefer better fragrances
sorry one dimensional fragrances bore me, can you ever find it in your heart to forgive me?
Some more opinions:
Tonka Imperiale. While I do appreciate SDV, it's too gourmand for me to wear.
Tonka Imperiale all the way
I like SDV as well, I just find Tonka Imperiale to be a little lighter and more wearable for me.

Like them both
SdV for me. Tonka Imperiale drifts a bit too feminine on my skin for my tastes.
SdV is 2x better than Tobacco Vanille.
Both are great you can't go wrong. I have TI and will be getting SDV next week. Got a bottle hold.
You all are wrong! The answer is SDV. Kidding, I love both, but SDV is my favorite right now.
Like them both, but Tonka Imperiale wins.
I'm also a fan of both frags (and Cuir Beluga), and both have that tooth-ache inducing sweetness in the drydown, but i love the subtle booziness of SDV
Current top 6:
1. Roja Dove H Pour Homme
2. Givenchy Insense
3. Roja Dove 51 Pour Homme
4. Lalique Hommage a L'Homme
5. Eau d'Italie Baume Du Doge
6. Guerlain Heritage
Well I am testing both out from some samples (thanks Kron) and have SDV on my left wrist and TI on my right wrist.
Well SDV opens like vanille ice cream which gets a bit boozy but more in a liqueur way with a hint of rose. I'm picking up a touch of incense and amber as time has moved on within this gorgeous mix. This scent is very light yet complex at the same time, there is a good few notes coming and going within the vanille.
A really enchanting beautiful vanille fragrance and one so easy to fall in love with.
Tonka Imperial opens up with a marzipan glazed honey accord and is quite sweet. After this opening I am picking up a big dose of rosemary and its starting to smell strongly of almonds.
The fragrance is very sugary and reminds me of white chocolate or the icing on a fancy cake. This fragrance is beautiful but just to feminine for me to pull off. Would smell great on a lady though.
I have to go with SDV as it is a gorgeous fragrance and one I can pull off. I love the way the vanilles stays linear but still has other notes coming and going within the mix. With TI although its beautiful it reminds me to much of marzipan on a cake and feels too feminine.
I cant say enough good things about SdV. I think the vanille slightly softens over the 24hr scent life, as darker notes pass through. It seems like a simple fragrance because it's blended so beautifully - but it's actually an interesting little journey. The tobacco note is very well executed too, even if it only lingers in the background.
Easily the best vanilla and best gourmand in my opinion.
Tonka Imperiale is great too. The blending and ingredients really impress me. Like SdV, it lasts forever, but never gets loud or abrasive.

I like SDV better than tonka. I find Tonka to be more versatile but I enjoy the SDV much more. That vanilla is soooo smoooth!

I was a bit horrified by SDV, the first time I smelled it in the boutique. I thought it was too simple and almost overbearing. But dear Primrose sent me a hefty sample, so I wore it at home, and have done a 175 (as in not quite a 180). The liqueur notes and the tiny echoes of older Guerlains are quite appealing. I could gladly own either one of these, though I prefer my Derby.
