Default Kouros Reformulation and Differences in Packaging

Hello all. I just bought a new bottle of Kouros in the 3.3 oz. size. My old bottle, however, looks much different from the new one. The old one is on the left with the silver-trim on the bottle, and with the blueish font. The lettering on that bottle is rather thick.

The new bottle on the right has no silver trim on the bottle, just the atomizer unit. Also, the font is a darker grey color, and is a little thinner.

Both boxes are the same except for their placement of text - the old one has no text inside the box - the new one does. The ingredients lists are a little different also, with some extra things in the version I just bought. So it's been reformulated.

Which is the new version, and which is the older version? I've only had the bottle on the left for two years.

    Thanks for your help.

The new bottle dont have that much metal parts to cut some costs.

Surely that is not actually metal.

    It is actual metal.
On the right is the new version.
Sometime they just leave off ingredients that they are not required to print. there are many more ingredients in the formula than are shown on the box.
    Do they smell different?

Here's the picture of the original bottle from 80's. Note the placement of the texts.

    A little.

The one on the left has a stronger opening and I think there's a little more civet going on.

The one on the right has a more muted opening, and seems to be a touch less "skanky."

    Otherwise, they smell the same.

It should be noted that the bottle on the left is a few years old, and has had about 1 ounce of juice left in it for about seven months. I wouldn't be surprised if the perfume has aged a bit in there and seen some settling of materials, . . . I tend to find the last ounce or half ounce of a bottle smells stronger than the ounces that preceded it, and that goes for a lot of scents.

Tried the "metal" (vintage) Kouros and the "enamel" (modern) one; and according to my nose I have honestly to admit that there are NOT so many differences.
    Still a very good scent.

As long as the juice is the same....rock on!

I've only tried the modern Kouros but I don't detect any civet. It smells dirty in its own way but I don't smell any fecal notes in this one.

the latest reformulation does not have powerfull projection as a Vintage version
The good Kouros is dead, the latest reformulation is just a shadow from the original...sadly, very disappointed:

Are you sure they are different in the drydown?

Reviews say the only difference is the top notes, but the drydown is identical.
