It's on the USA website now. http://www.chanel.com/en_US/fragranc...C3%8AME-125540

Nordstrom still doesn't know exactly when they'll get it. Darn shame.

For those who OWN a decant/bottle of Sport Extreme and and original Sport, which do you prefer and why?

I completely agree. Pretty much all of the minty fragrances I've tried have been nauseating, which doesn't bode well for this one. However, I do enjoy Chanel fragrances so who knows.

I wasn't really impressed by this Eau Extreme. It is typical "intense" version of the regular fragrance with a big amount of tonka beans and something balsamic (like balsamic notes in Blv Notte and Cerruti Si). Unfortunately I didn't identify any mint here. The base seems to be similar to that in original Allure Homme Sport. So nothing really new or special - I like Bleu more.

An intense touch of the regular AHS is enough to love it ! i cant wait to try it..

I only have a 2ml sample of Eau Extreme but I am pretty confident that I prefer AHS in almost every capacity.

I'm not as prepared with disappointment as AHS was great, it's extreme version might be awesome

Goddamnit another flanker of allure I'll probably end up buying. I love the original and edition blanche and liked sport, so if this is sport with a little more punch I'll probably love it too. That being said I'm scared of the mint note. Mint scents simply do not do well on my skin, they come off like toothpaste. Ever Roadster took the colgate route on me. Oddly the only scent with any mint in it that I've ever liked was YSL Live Jazz, so I wonder how the mint compares to that?

How can this fragrance be inspired by Surfing and not contain any "Ocean air/mist" or a salty note and is instead dominated by tonka beans ? makes no sense. I can see salty notes working really well with the mint, orange and woods.

    Original Hands down!
eau extreme is generic and only , as a distinctive contribution, has a slightly sweet and ambery background that adds some warmth to the ensemble, but the citrus smell of opening is the epitome of the generic and boring.-I don´t either identify any mint here
at least, the original has more class.

I have to agree with Blackened and Anton, I'm afraid. It's an interesting variation on the Allure theme, but it's going to be the favorite only of people who prefer something simple and "less extreme" than either the original Allure Homme or Blanche. To me, there is a gradation between the woody/spicy accords in Allure Homme and the powdery/citrus accords in Edition Blanche. Sport Extreme is closer to Allure Homme than Sport is, but it retains much of the simplicity of Sport. I really appreciate the complexity of base and overall balance of both Allure Homme and Bleu now.

Here is a crude representation of competing aspects in the Allure Homme/Bleu family, at least as they smell to me:

    Woody/Spicy|-----AH--------------------------------------|Powdery
    ---------------------------AHSEE-----------------AHEB--------------
    -----------------------------------------AHS--------------------------
    ---------------------------Bleu----------------------------------------
    Fresh/Marine|-----------------------------------AHSCS------|Citrus

I enjoy the novelty of the new one, but I think this is Allure for a generation which finds the original Allure Homme either dated or overly formal, and Sport/Blanche too clean-cut. The fashion seems like it's swinging back toward something like Allure Homme, but it's not there yet.

If you like the creamy citrus of Allure Homme Sport, then beware, because that is much reduced here. In its place, the warm and woody cypress accord, which is good in its own right. There is no obvious mint, but I suspect that it sharpens and "Chanellifies" the cypress, which doesn't smell very "Polo" or "Italian Cypress", as a word of warning to fans of those scents.

Still, the stuff smells very good. Better on skin than on paper - it's warmer and more satisfying. It also really contrasts with Bleu. Comparing the two, the fresh/marine notes of Bleu are *really* obvious.

I bought a bottle today. Fab stuff!

Like stated before, it's closer to the original Allure Homme than the Sport.
But, it is like a fusion between the two with a touch of Givency Play Intense
    untop of that. Absolutely fabulous!
It hit the Danish boutiques yesterday, I'd reckon y'all will see it the next time
    you visit one!

It has nothing on the Édition Blanche, though. That is still the ruling Allure
    in my book!

Like the others. It is an Eau de Toilette Concentrée, though.
On me Édition Blanche has killer longevity - and sillage. ÉB
    is really a concentrée.
The rest are kinda avaridge, same goes with this one.

It can most def be worn as a formal scent. I think the tag 'sport' is misleading.
There is nothing sporty about it. It's a cozy semi-sweet scent.

I bought the 100 ml in Magasin Cph yesterday along with some other Chanels and got a little discount
I find Eau Extreme to be rather good frag - sort of Le Male meets Allure Sport meets Allure Homme.

Very potent & sweet - pretty heavy for a sport scent. I get 8-10 hours longevity out of it.
In fact this is NOT a sport scent at all !!

    I'd give it 8.5/10 overall.

Le grand is right !!!!This is definitely a mix between allure homme and allure sport! Its like a modern AH with AHS lingering in the background faintly! So far I really like it! Got it yesterday and two sprays on the wrist last night and I can still smell it in the morning! Longevity is there for sure, really can't say for projection though! Overall the dry down is great, nothing ground breaking! Can't wait to give this some full wearings, have a feeling I'm going to love it.

I'm definitely enjoying this fragrance. For me, its more versatile than regular Allure Homme, which I find hard to wear when it's hot. I'm looking forward to wearing this even more as things heat up later in the spring.

The semi-sweet characterization is right-on, and I know what blackened is saying about Libre, where the sweetness of L'Homme was cut back quite a bit. The added cypress and more exposed spice in AHSEE gives it more of a rough, dry, woody feel - much less sweet and more like Allure Homme. But the tonka moderates that quite a bit, bringing it back to semi-sweet. I would swear there is something slightly choco-gourmand under it, too, so I see the Play Intense comparisons. But I truly like this a lot more than Play Intense, which I actually traded away. No way am I trading this! I bet that it will overtake Allure in my wardrobe as far as getting worn, no problem, although I still think Allure Homme is the real champ as a fragrance.

I tested this yesterday, and it was almost as i expected. Nice, but average. High quality and first-class ingredients, but oh so boring and spineless.. This is a type of fragrance I wouldn`t waste my time on. The regular Allure homme and Edititon Blanche beat this with a wiiiiiide margin. -
Conclusion: Smells quite nice, but complete lacking in character. (Sad, but I suppose that`s the way the masses want it)

In house perfumer Jacques Polge has past his innovative stage & is playing it safe. He knows Chanel won't sack him so he can do what he likes. What he's now good at is producing excellent quality ingredients & notes. He's a man in his 60's now and is using his wisdom & knowledge rather than the daring experimental side which alas has gone. If you want a new new Chanel men's fragrance to come out and wow you! Then I'm afraid it will have to be a totally new nose. Allure extreme is nice & well done but nothing new

Cologne Sport was actually my favorite Allure....because it lacked the dusty/grainy notes in the base of all the other allures. And after hearing there really isn't any mint in this one, and that it isn't sporty, rather a warm, fuzzy scent with a little tonka.....my interest has waned completely. Booo chanel! Booooo!!!!

Found a bottle in House of Fraser. Wow, what a huge let down. I was really hoping this would surprise me, but no dice.

Could not detect ANY mint whatsoever. The overwhelming smell was just the mid/drydown of AHS. Wasn't particularly fresh or cooling, it was just sweet. Vanilla and almost a less powdery and slightly less cocoa-y Dior Homme was the impression I got. About 3 hours in, it's exactly the same as AHS. Unsurprising perhaps, but just a let down as I was hoping for something even a little bit different.
