Have a great, good-smellin' day! Lisa
CitrusFest arrived yesterday. So far I have tried Lutens' Fleurs de Citronnier and looooooved it. Citrus + tuberose + honey + white musk, and it lasted through a shower! I fear I must wear it again today, and not yet try another of them!

    Thank you!

Would somebody please take this 9ml travel spray of Lush Karma perfume? I'll send it anywhere in CONUS.

Though I've been reading Basenotes for a while, I've never taken advantage of this before (just signed up to post this, actually)...such a great idea. I'd love to try the Lush "Karma" scent. If it's not taken, let me know?

    PASSING IT FORWARD:
I've got a nearly full bottle of Chloe EDT 3 oz spray ; anyone interested?

ErinK-- would you like the sample set? I would be glad to send it to you. I think my favorites were probably After My Own Heart and Field Notes from Paris. Not planning on full bottles of these, though... Right now am lemming for spicy scents.

I didn't want to ask for them as I've only been a member here about a month and didn't want to be greedy or tacky - I thought I should settle in for a while before offering to take something off someone's hands. And as this is Mother's Day, and I am not a mother, they should probably go to someone who can appreciate them as a Mothers Day treat.

Twolf, thank you for the kind words! They brought a smile to my face and made me feel so welcomed here. As I continue read through the forum, I am moved by your and other members' warmth and generosity toward me and with each other. It is fascinating and really, really special that a shared love of fragrance brings people together across states, countries, continents. Thank you everyone for the words of welcome and I look forward to learning more from you all!

    Wavin' hello to ErinK!!!!

Will be getting everyone's samples out over the coming weekend. Had some Perfume Posse fairy godmother duties to finish up last weekend.

Edit: Oh man! That was quick! Now if only people would respond to my craigslist "free furniture" ads as fast as they do my perfume ones!!!

My old offer is below. People have responded in flocks. I'll try to ship 'em out this weekend.
    -------------------
I'm clearing out my perfumes, and I really want to send some stuff away.

    1. Small bottle of regular Halston.
    2. Small bottle of Halston Catalyst
    3. A rather big bottle of Dior Hypnotic Poison (already have a bottle that I probably won't use up in my lifetime!!!!)
    4. And just tons and tons of samples. Mostly from Andrew_B, but also Ody. I don't know if any are still good anymore, but you're welcome to them!

    Drop me a message.
    Preferable within the next week!!!!
We are packing up the wagon.

ooooh! I always crave more samples -- have sent a message to Aiona re: I will recycle the ones that don't work for me right back into this thread.

Speaking of which, a lovely Basenoter sent me samples of the 3 Tuberoses of Histoire de Parfums -- The only one that I really like my spouse and son ran from grimacing, so I offer them here to one CONUS person:

CONUS samples: Tubereuses: 1 Capriciose, 2 Virginale, 3 Animale -- one sample of each, all to one person.

Lol at Twolf! Agree with bogsc, every word. It's your frankness that makes you such a great teacher; have learned a lot from you!

I'm red-faced because I've missed welcoming ErinK! Very glad you de-lurked! We always need more great people!

And the real reason I'm here is to say told you so to Lisa! Yep, told you those HdPs are weird! Your son and hubby are cracking me up! Hilarious reactions! I have to take a guess-was it Animale that made them run? My hubby comments negatively on Capricieuse but only because he thinks it smells like baby powder. He's not exactly clear on why I'd pay that much to smell like Johnson's. Oh, well, they get a lot of love from me. Can't win 'em all!

Reviews told me HdP Tubereuse 1 smells like balloons, rubber balloons that haven't been blown up yet, and I think I agree!
I like 2...it reminds me of Elie Saab a little, and of FM Carnal Flower! What is 3 like?

Yes, I saw the balloon comparison too, kayley! Understandable impression. I find a strange note myself but it reminds me of the Elmer's tub o' paste they used to give us as elementary students for art class. I see you're in the States-I bet you know what I'm referring to!

#3 is tuberose + a pretty heavy immortelle, almost but not quite maple syrupy. Sweeter than I usually like but I found the honeyed tobacco and leather drydown so compelling. Definitely not for everyone as it has a bit of unwashed skankiness to it. But so worth a try, especially since you know the other two. #2 is very nice; I love it for it's pretty but non-airhead nature. These are quite an interesting trio of scents.

I have a tiny sample of Dior's hypnotic poison and really like it so would be happy to take that bottle off your hands if someone hasn't already reached out to you about it!

    Lisa,

Oh that's funny. I LOVE HDP's L'Animale 3. It's my favorite tuberose perfume, bar none.

    Hello Scentfan,

I've lost all of my PM's since they did the switch so I hope I'm sending this to the right person. At any rate, I received the lovely Jasmine Keiko Mecheri and wanted to offer my thanks for such a happy bit of mail! I do hope you've received the decants I sent along, or will shortly and can enjoy them as I very much anticipate enjoying your offerings.

Wishing you all sorts of blessings,

Leave her a Feedback entry (click on their name, go to their Profile, in the top right-hand corner there is Feedback, click on Leave Feedback. It is so much easier now). There is no protocol carved in stone, but I leave feedback for anything, from a $300 bottle to a postcard. You can never be too kind.

Yikes...I had posted some offerings on this thread before the switch back from Huddler, which seems to mean that posts from last few months have yet to be restored.. If I've promised you something I'll be trolling through my AOL e-mail to see if I can find old basenotes notifications that include your info. Feel free to PM me or post here as well.

EDPGypsy/Danieq/Cacio, tracked down what I promised to send and shipping samples to all of you tonight.

    Hi folks!

Just did a bit of organizing, and found a few things that need a good home. These are two groups of items and can go to two different people (US only please).

    1. Three vials of Narciso Rodrigeuz for Her (Musc oil, EDP and EDT). I must be asnomic these - Claimed by proverbialromance!

    2. Pacifica Perfume samples (Hawaiian Ruby Guava, Indian Coconut Nectar, Mexican Cocoa, Thai Lemongrass, Tuscan Blood Orange) - Claimed by marleygirl!

    Hello Everyone,

There are no takers for my L'occitane L'oranger Neroli on the swap thread.
My bottle is 95% full, no cap. I am happy to send it to anyone here in the USA.
The scent is still as rich and potent as it was when I bought it 10 years ago.
Let me know and it's yours.
    Happy Thanksgiving/ Holidays!
    Fragrance Fanatic,
    Sara

    Yay! Danieq,
I'll send it to you when I get home. PM me your address and I'll get it out by Saturday, or Monday at the latest.
It is a rich, opulent orange flower scent.

    Enjoy,
    Sara

    Hi Everyone,

I need to clear out my sample piles. I'd like to send one person in the world (anywhere except UK and PO boxes) of following samples. (sorry, I can not ship to UK because of Royal Mail restrictions, unless I lie at the post office, which is not very pleasant).

Montale Oriental Dream: sample vial from Luckyscent, tested once
Parfums DelRae Amoureuse: sample vial from Luckyscent, tested once
    L'Artisan - Mimosa Pour Moi: 1ml
    L'Artisan - L'Eau D'Ambre: official sample 1.2ml
Acqua di Parma - Acqua Nobile Gelsomino (Jasmine Noble): official sample, EDT, 1.2ml
    M. Micallef Jewel: 1 ml
    M. Micallef Time for Love: 1ml

Please PM me if you are intrested. I dont come to basenotes on daily base, but I check my email everyday.
    :-)

Sara, I'll take it, if it's still available and pass it on if I don't fall in love.

I'm sorry, I cannot tell, did someone already claim these from you? If not, I would very much enjoy trying them. Just let me know if they are still available!

    Thank you,
