Default Pure Malt vs. New Haarlem

Which would you choose as a winter signature scent? I have New Haarlem but the sweetness is starting to get to me a little, would Pure Malt be a good replacement?

Can't disagree with the Tucansam bird. lol. Pure Malt any day. That beautiful boozy note fascinates me. I like New Haarlem but really do find it to be a tad too sweet.

I like scents like New Haarlem, but I get bored of them quickly.

I prefer pure malt, but for a signature scent i would pick new harleem. I say this because i feel pure malt stands out more whereas NH is more casual. PM hands down for nights out and special occasions

If it has to be one or the other, I'd pick new New Haarlem, but I like 'em both and wouldn't limit myself to one. Check out Rochas man and Michael Jordan Legend, they're in the same ballpark as New Haarlem and not as sweet.

New Haarlem is wonderful, but I wouldn't want to wear it every day, for exactly the reason you give. I think Pure Malt would be better as a winter signature scent.

    2. George Sand--Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier
    3. L'Ame Soeur--Divine

New Haarlem lays waste on Pure Malt. Was once crazy about the sexy opening, but then it's downhill for Pure Malt for me, starts smelling moist and boozy, but in a different and worse way than the great opening, and that turns me off quite a bit. New Haarlem is probably the best gourmand (well Ambre Narguile and Tobacco Vanille I rate higher but still)

Another for Pure Malt. New Haarlem is a decent scent for winter, but I can't wear it more than once or twice a month without getting sick of it.
