One I like to wear to the office is Bois Du Portugal
Here is a question. What would you say is the best men's fragrance for the office setting for a man in his 30s or 40s? I might say Dior's L'homme savage. What do you think?
One I like to wear to the office is Bois Du Portugal
office setting? Bulgari pour Homme
Sauvage is a classic/vintage choice that I like, but don't own.
I've been happy alternating between GIT, Acqua Di Parma Colonia/Colonia Assoluta, and TF Italian Cypress as of late. I'm at the early end of the demographic.
I'd say either Grey Vetiver or Green Irish Tweed, both high quality office scents.
Antidote by Viktor & Rolf - This high-quality enterprise is very versatile in light of its kaleidoscopic heads, and can be worn any time and any season. A one-stop wonder, this amalgamated composition has excellent longevity and good projection.
I'm 36 and my choice is Boucheron PH, Cacharel PH, Salvatore Ferragamo PH, Lauder FM, YSL PH and Jazz for summer which is about +20+30C where I live.
Cartier Santos (medium vintage), CDG Wonderwood, Lagerfeld Classic and L'Artisan Eau du Navigateur for colder season which is about 0-20C.
Hope this helps.
1. Terre d'Hermès

3.Guerlain Homme Intense
Rive Gauche pour Homme
Eau De Rochas Homme (as recently suggested here and purchased by me). Clean, zesty, well blended juice.
Frederic Malle`s "creme de la creme" Vetiver Extraordinaire
+1s for Terre d'Hermes and AdP Colonia. Another traditional one is a good masculine rose scent like Floris No. 89 (vintage juice is preferable if you can find it).

Gucci Pour Homme
Calvin Klein - Obsession For Men
Grey Vetiver and Terre D'Hermes are good choices. I don't limit myself though and wear pretty much whatever I feel like and just limit the amount of sprays to whatever I feel appropriate.
Silver Mountain Water or Green Irish Tweed would be my top choices.
Another would be Cartier Declaration or Mugler Cologne.
I wear Penhaligons Opus 1870 for the office and its perfect.
A well crafted and "simple" vetiver would be perfect (e.g. Givenchy Vetyver, Guerlain Vetiver, Vettiveru), otherwise, if you want more complexity you could go for Mark Birley for Men (discreet, classy yet modern).

I am target audience (39 today, 40 tomorrow).
I work in an overly air conditioned office, that is usually too cold. My perfect office scent would be Armani Eau Pour Homme or some other Citrus Chypre, but they just dont bloom, don't escape the skin in my office.
Orientals work better in the chilled air, but a lot have potent projection and some people in the office environment dont appreciate that. A*Men and Joop are no no's, it doesn't matter how light on the spray you go! The guys that suggested Cartier Must pour Homme and V&R Antidote made good calls, they last but have minimal projection. I personally use Burberry Brit or light sprays of B*Men or Play Intense for this purpose which will be stronger, but in the UK I think I can get away with it, there is not such a cultural stigma to wearing scents in the office here as in the US. I also find that Vanilla based scents, no matter how strong they are, are universally liked. Caron pour un Homme is perfect for this.
Otherwise, I would agree with the advice on Vetivers. In a world where the masses use AdG and Code, a Vetiver will stand out, a bit clean but also a bit earthy/dirty, and they project well in an air conditioned office. Here's a great Vetiver thread:

I'll agree with Grey Vetiver and Terre D'Hermes. I'll throw in a little L'Instant De Guerlain PH.
