I think its a great fragance though not something I would buy a full bottle of. I like the desert amber vibe and a decant or even a sample goes a long way with this one.
Ok, I received my sample of Andy Tauer L'Air Du Desert Marocain from the Perfume Court today.... Applied a few small drop on my wrist... let it dry for about 30 second and took a sniff... WOW! very sharp, incense, dry, tar, spicy and strong.... Smell kind of like Amouage Tribute and Amouage Memoir Man... then about a half hour later it smells kind of like Tiger Balm with a dose of ambergris... Spicy and very dry... do i like it? It's ok, but I don't think I'm going to buy a full bottle of Andy Tauer L'Air Du Desert Marocain... good thing I tried a sample and not blind buying this one... overall initial grade for this fragrance is a 7/10

If it weren't for the ambery sweetness, I'd find the sharpness of this intolerable. As it is, I enjoy it but wouldn't buy a whole bottle. As Jack Hunter said, a small sample goes a long way.
Current Top Five:
1. Bois des Iles--Chanel
2. George Sand--Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier
3. L'Ame Soeur--Divine
4. Violet Blonde--Tom Ford
5. Santal Blush--Tom Ford
I think it smells ok, but for $125 for a 50 ml bottle is not worth it...

Ive had a 10 ML decant and wore it only a couple of times. Cant take more than 1 or 2 sprays of this beast.

Too powerful. Can't wear in real world settings.
It's a great winter fragrance. I sampled it a few times, still neutral on getting a full bottle or not.
I'd love a bottle.
But, there are others in the Tauer line I need first, then we'll see...
I don't dislike it, but it wasn't my cup of tea.

I don't get Tiger Balm but like you I didn't enjoy it enough to get a full bottle.
As a side note, despite being quite strong I personally enjoy Tauer's fragrances better when applied liberally.
Its fantastic but very expensive. I will hunt for a used bottle (50ml is a lot cause i need only 4 sprays of it (and im a heavy sprayer))
I love this stuff. I agree that you need to be light on the trigger. One or two sprays is plenty.
Great cold weather scent, I bought 50 ml and like it.
I'm not much of a fan of this one either. It is a high quality fragrance but there is just too much piercing incense for me.
If you like this but find it a bit OTT, try Desert by Fragonard; it strikes me as a (much) tamer and more easily wearable version (and a lot cheaper).
What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence
I tried L'Air du Désert Marocain several times and decided it's not for me: it has a certain breathtaking note that's bothering me all day long(Le Troisième Homme by Caron has also such a note).
Although I don't own this scent, I have tried it on a number of occasions and like quite a bit.
