Do any of you wear fragrance when you go to bed?
And if so what do you wear?
I think I'm gonna try to put on something tonight.
Goodnight!![]()
I sometimes wear Caldey Island Lavender as I find it calming.
I chosen Dsquared Potion.... Nice and warm... And not too strong... Love it!

Nope. Never done this.
I prefer lighter and citrucy frags for my sleep frag of the night.
Once wore 12 sprays of Kouros before sleeping and that was painful to my nose - just kidding......

When I travel I usually apply Lolita Lempicka au Masculin before going to sleep. Sleep great. When not away, I currently vary between Cuba Tiger, L'eau par Kenzo PF, Oxygene by Lanvin, Perfect Potion's Outdoor and Bath and Body Works Cool Citrus Basil body spray depending on my mood. Basically, I wear anything that will relax me.
I like HM a lot.
I also wore Tuscan Leather to bed last night. I thought it was so cool to be smelling of leather even though I was just in my boxers. The lady was not as impressed.
Waking up the next morning like rasberries was quite a trip too. That frag has the strangest drydown...
Sorry but I can't smell when I am asleep. Well I don't think anyway. lol
Life is too short to sample. Buy Blind| I am generally not interested in batch hunting or weak fragrances.

Sometimes I will do this to test a scents longevity. This way I can go a prolonged period without consciously knowing its there and I dont have to worry about nose fatigue from smelling it idly while I test it. Not sure if it is the best way to test but I dont see a problem with it unless you somehow rub it off.
Curiously, the human sense of smell turns off at night, hence the reason for smoke alarms.... If I'm sleeping alone, I tend toward something like Antidote or Cologne Gingembre; if I'm with my wife, I tend to be fragrance-free.
Sartorial and Virgin Island Water are two that I wear to bed often (not at the same time!).
I usually do my testing of frags at night for longevity and progress of the notes
I usually take a shower right before I go to bed and like being fragrance free. My wife wears the body creams to bed and I like the way she smells.
Sometimes I wear Dior Homme, Dior Homme Intense or A*Men / Pure Malt.
For me, it's usually Agua Lavanda by Antonio Puig.
Last night I applied a liberal dose of Bel Ami and slept like a baby!
Any given SOTD/SOTE.
I guess that, on some level, I consciously or unconsciously chose my fragrances because most, if not all of them, while not literally "putting me to sleep", they still are relaxing and/or comforting enough to create a mood/a feeling/a sensation which more or less directly favors a calming and consistent sleep.
From a purely aromatherapeutic perspective I would go with something lavender and vanilla scented. Although typically thought of as an energizing fragrance, I find mint a relaxing scent as well. As for me, I tend to use the period between showering and falling asleep to test new frangrances and samples, so, I quite often go to bed with multiple fragrances on.
Yes, I like to waft off in a fog of fragrance. It used to be Caravelle Epice now its the Amouage that I wouldn't wear outside; 'Gold'. But anything will do. The samples are calling, good night.
So, I thought this was a weird concept and then I tried wearing Herba Fresca to bed the last two nights and I slept really good both nights...I don't know if it was the fragrance or just coincidence but it was an interesting observation.
I tend to favor mild, round compositions rather than the bright, sharp ones I wear when going about my day. Lately Bond I <3 NY for All is a fav. It's rather unremitting in its creamy sweetness so nighttime is perfect since I'm just lulled to sleep by it and wake up with a whiff.
One light spray of Shalimar parfum or a good spray of M7 usually does the trick...

1. Amouage Homage Attar
2. Serge Lutens - Muscs Koublai Khan
3. YSL M7
4. Serge Lutens - Ambre Sultan
5. Chanel Egoiste
6. 24 Gold by Scentstory
7. Amouage Epic Man
8. Amouage Jubilation XXV

"A beautiful fragrance to the nose is like good jazz music to the ears, great food to the mouth, and Megan Fox and Jessica Alba to the eyes..."
I've taken to wearing Tam Dao to bed most nights. I find its cedar/sandalwood very relaxing and meditative. Occasionally Les Zazous and Antidote. Les Zazous is a very powdery lavender, which I enjoy but find too powdery to wear for a full day. And there's just something about the Antidote, it's another one I enjoy but not always for a full day.
Tam Dao sounds like an ideal bedtime scent Al!
Yes smell of the Beer that I drank previous night.
Right now I think that I have all the fragrances that I want.
