Default My short review: Knize Ten

    WOW!!! Just WOW!!!!!!!!

The best leather scent I have ever ever ever tested in my life!!!!!!!!!

I quite like Bel Ami, but I love Knize Ten.

It is named Knize Ten, because it should be the best fragrance ever made in this house.
I understand why the Spanish loyal family wears this scent from generation to generation.

It smells dirty, but you wouldn´t avoid this scent on your skin or on people.
If I wear this, then I get the feeling like I want to show everybody that I have a big big d***.

This scent is really tough and it requires your self-confidence.

This is just a perfect scent if you wear a leather jacket, jeans and nice boots.

One of the greats and works well with a suit and tie also.

That's awesome you love it. I, however, never became a fan. For some reason this type of leather...a more perfumed leather(if that makes sense) gave me a headache and really didn't jive with me.

Although I admit I do not have a big d***, I also love Knize Ten. It's one of my go-to perfumes when I want to be confident. I see what you mean about dirty, but there's also something clean-cut and edgy about it.

As you can tell from the reviews, it's not far from being as polarizing as Angel. Most of the things that people dislike about it are the things I like the most.

It's a lot of fragrance, and a great one at that. It appears to have maintained its complexity even within the ever increasing IFRA restrictions. There are few as good for walking through the woods on a cold, crisp day. I'm not sure about the newest stuff, but on those kind of days the older stuff puts out smoke that smells almost identical to Primo Nepal Musk Incense, but a lot better.

A great leather. I love the drydown. You should try Knize Ten Golden Edition also. It is like Knize Ten but with a bit of floral and citrus added. I got both of them from Lucky Scent.
Oriscent, AgarAura Pure Ouds, Creed, LIDGE, Patou Pour Homme, tons of niche and rare stuff for sale!

I have Golden Edition - got it at the Scent Bar in LA. It's the ultimate badass black leather jacket leather. Yeah, I know its supposed to be a floral leather, but that disappears into the overall effect for me.

I thought Bel Ami was ok, but too polite. I don't like my leather subtle.

I once stated that I want to buy Puredistance M.
Although Puredistance M is an excellent fragrance, I decided for Absolue pour le Soir and Knize Ten together for my birthday.
    I don´t regret.

Puredistance M is too expensive for a student and for my signature scent, but these two will fulfil my wish.

I always recommand Knize Ten. It is worth the test.

The Golden Edition is great, too. Very similar, just a little bit softer. Both great. particularly in the dry down. Just don't over-apply!

I got mine from Luckyscent on backorder and it came in when they said. You can order in advance and they ship when it comes in. A local (to me) retailer carries the whole Knize line and they say it is really hard to get product pried out of Germany.

    Good to know! Thanks.

Fortunately a very kind basenotes member took the time out of his day to meet with me and let me sniff some out of his own personal stash! It was very nice but I think I'm gonna hold off for now.

After all the talk I was really surprised when I eventually came around to smelling K10. I like it but I really find it quite dandy and floral, there's nothing tough or dirty about it at all.

I ne er thought I'd like this one until I actually sampled it. Very amazing and long lasting fragrance for me. I now own a full bottle and wear it rotation with my others.
Your nostrils, which will dilate immesurably in unspeakable contentment, in motionless ecstasy, will ask nothing better for space, for they will be full of fragrance, as if perfumes and incense; for they will be glutted with complete happiness, like angels who dwell in the peace and magnificence of pleasent heaven.

Knize 10 is quite simply the best scent un my book. Whilst my wife loves Aqua di Parma Colinia as my signature scent... this is my own true love. What a man should smell like. Works well with a suit or casual clothes. A great great scent

    Amusing.

Aventus an annoying fruity vaguely leathery mash-up as close in character to Knize Ten as a hawk from the moon.

Lol, I was about to write the same. It's incredible how any topic on any scent on Earth will have its "... like Aventus" post sooner or later. It's like a quality seal - "look, someone mentioned Aventus - Basenotes approved!".
    My current top five:

Tiffany - Tiffany for Men (vtg)
Yves Saint Laurent - M7 (vtg)
    Fendi - Theorema
    Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille
    Gucci - Gucci pour Homme

Hey on the plus side, all those Creedors, having using only Creed's since birth might finally smell a real quality fragrance at 1/3rd pricing because they read similarities of K10 with their super god Aventus...

Totally different, you will either love it or hate it. It's very oily and leathery in a dark way in the opening before it explodes into powdery soapy florals with some sandalwood mixed in. It's imo very complex in a chaotic way, very good classic scent. But don't go expecting a well behaved tuscan leather kind of scent otherwise you will be shocked.lol
