    Default Light and clean scent

Hi. I've a problem: I would like to use fragrances but I think that I can't.
I've smell many fragrances looking for a natural, light and clean scent but no one likes me. I feel that many of them are too much strong for me. I'm just wanna smell clean, like a personal scent.
The only one that I can wear now is Clinique Happy.
Which light, natural, clean (maybe powdery?) would you recommend for someone like me?
    Thanks.

Any of the Kenzo house. Sample some of them. Japanese "houses" have a airy feeling and are very easy to wear. Tokyo,Jungle, kenzo pour homme and l'eau par kenzo are my sample suggestions. Also, Kenzo scents are cheap.

L'Homme Cologne Gingembre or Dior Higher. VERY fond of both and I think they fit the bill nicely.

A light application of Creed Himalaya would be perfect I think. It is very light, has a clean soapy vibe, but comes together in a very beautiful and understated way.

Perhaps L’eu d’Issey Pour Homme would suit? Very light and fresh, easy to wear without vanishing too quickly.

Another thought - if you find most fragrances are a bit too strong on you, try spraying the fragrance into the air and walking into the spray (eyes shut while you do that or it will sting) rather than spraying it onto you directly. That gives a much more subtle effect with any fragrance.

    Wow, many options there.
    I haven't told may age: 29.
I can't find where I live niche parfums.
I've tried Mugler cologne but I find it too grassy and unnatural.
    Infusion of Prada: too heavy.
I'm going crazy. I've my home full of samples but, as U2 says, I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

Thanks for this advice, I've never tried it.
Some years ago I used to wear Issey and now I can't smell it (I've a full bottle at home)

Prada Infusion D'Homme too heavy? Ouch. I think it's one of the lightest, cleanest frags out there. You can try Burberry Touch or Gucci PH II, which both settle very quickly into smooth, lighter frags that most people really enjoy. There are the Bulgari and Kenzo lines, which both make fairly reserved scents, as well. If you want to smell like nearly nothing, apply Molecule 01 and wait 5 minutes.

Try Givenchy Play and the new Play Sport. I've not tried the Sport, but I hear it's even ligther than the original. Do give the original a shot though, as I find it to be a very light and very nice citrus oriented scent over a light base of woods and vetiver.

+ 1 in addition to everyone else who has recommended it. Gendarme is the one fragrance that never bothers me under any circumstances (without being boring).

Some of the recommendations on this thread I strongly disagree with (given the parameters of the OP), such as Kenzo PH, Issey PH and Guerlain Vetiver (really?).

    A dark horse suggestion:
Crabtree & Evelyn West Indian Lime -- Similar to Mugler Cologne to my nose, but a little less sharp; it might work for someone who otherwise likes Mugler Cologne, but finds a bothersome note in it (as the OP stated he did).

Also, +1 to the suggestion to use a very light walkthrough application (spray in the air and walk through it).
Just because it happened to you doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Some years ago my uncle gave me a Burberry Touch bottle. One month later my Touch bottle touched the floor accidentally in my bedroom 😷. I can't smell it anymore.
About Prada. I can't explain my thoughts properly due to my English level (I'm from Spain). Sorry. More than heavy I feel quite old with it.

Some of this fragrances (Gendarme or Indian Limes) are not available in my city so I can't sample it.
I love limes, oranges and mandarins (not lemons) so Indian limes could be an option.

Well, my bottle must have gone off or something lol because my Vetiver is not that strong, smells soapy and fairly light.

I think Guerlain Vetiver has a much stronger personality than the OP seems to be able to tolerate (I have the square ribbed bottle version by the way). I also get a very strong ashtray tobacco note from it as it dries down that I find unpleasant and not at all "light" and "clean".

Of course, noses and opinions vary, but since the OP seems to find a lot of fragrances that others perceive as light to be too heavy, I thought Guerlain Vetiver was not something he would find acceptable.

Perhaps, but I don't get the same tobacco note from mine so I thought I would throw it out there. I have the new style bottle and as you said noses differ.

most eau de colognes (eg 4711 mentioned above) They are light because they have less fragrance in them. They normally last an hour or two. If you want something clean i recommend laundromat by demeter. It is a light cologne type scent that smells like a laundromat.

Also the idea above of spraying it into the air and walking into it is good if you want less scent on yourself
