Default Likeness to vetiver scents changing?

I don't know if I'm just being paranoid, but I thought I'd post and ask what people's experiences are here.

I'm no stranger to scents and have been wearing them since my pre-teens.

Basically, my recent liking for vetiver scents has suddenly changed to have a nose for GIT. Specifically, when I wear Prada's Infusion de Vetiver or if I try to imagine Sycomore which I used to own, I end up thinking of GIT and even 'smelling it' in my memory. Now, I started wearing GIT recently and never really liked it before but somehow the scent comes to memory quite often. When this happens my clothes are fresh and there is no reside of GIT on them.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Is there a word to describe this feeling and am I going insane?

Take a break, a holiday with Creed Millesime Imperiale (Bahama's feeling , as clarified by one of our Basenoters based in UK)

I've had this happen to me with perfumes from the same brand.
Lorenzo Villoresi and Miller Harris use s particular signature accord in many of their perfumes.

But i cannot see the association between the ones you mention.

What exactly is it that's triggering this?

Well it could be that I do need a break.

The ambergris in most Creeds used to bother me (perhaps from over spraying) but I got past that.

It really does seem to be the Prada now that I think about it.

Perhaps, subconsciously, you have found your Holy Grail.

You could well be right. I've always not liked fougere's but this one is gentle yet manly.

Nonetheless I've been quite ill with a higher than normal blood sugar level which results in headaches and other symptoms. That may also be a factor...
