Thumbs up Belcam Electric Blue (Bleu de Chanel knockoff)

Background: I'm a fragrance consumer, not any sort of expert, with a clear idea of what I like and works best for me, a long-time fan of classic Lagerfeld, and more recently of Cool Water. A friend suggested I try Bleu de Chanel and the Belcam knockoff Electric Blue. I purchased a bottle of Electric Blue at Walmart ($8 for 2.5oz), and compared it to a store tester of Bleu de Chanel, about an hour after showering with unscented body wash.

After application: Belcam was a bit stronger and "brash". Chanel was more balanced. Otherwise pretty similar. I slightly preferred Chanel.

After 30 minutes: Belcam smoothed out significantly to the point where it was pretty similar to Chanel. I liked them about the same, albeit for different reasons -- Belcam seemed a bit more distinctive, whereas Chanel seemed a bit more refined.

After 3 hours: Belcam retained much of its characteristic scent, whereas Chanel had faded significantly. Belcam was now definitely preferred over Chanel.

After 6 hours: Belcam was still going remarkably well, albeit with diminished strength and "projection", whereas Chanel had faded badly and become pretty bland.

Summary: Out of the box Chanel had the advantage, but overall I preferred Belcam.

I have never found a knockoff to better represent the scent it was impersonating.

I just got this the other day. I slightly like the first minute or so on Chanel better, but after that, Electric Blue steals the show. I think it's a great buy imo. Especially if you aren't too crazy about Bleu de Chanel in the first place. I couldn't see myself buying an entire bottle. So Electric Blue was a welcoming purchase. Belcam has really good quality frags that are slept on big time. People should try them more often.
