Question Jaipur Homme by Boucheron - which concentration ?

First of all, I'm back after a lot of time on BN, but I've been reading all that time. I've also bought The Dreamer and Egoiste.
I have tried this several times at Douglas and I must have it. It smells divine, especially in the drydown, when it gets powdery. I don't remember which version I've tried, but it was good from the start - never too spicy, delicate but strong. Where I live, the edp costs something like 90 Euros.
I've heard that EDPs are "always better" then EDTs of the same scent but some reviewers say that Jaipur Homme EDT is better then the other version, so I'm confused.
Sorry if I'm bringing into discussion a topic asked before. So, what do you think ?

Tried EDT and own EDP. They're both fantastic, but the edge goes to the EDP. When it came down to pulling the trigger, the EDP was my choice. Sometimes it's redundant to own both, but that's up to you.

Smelled Jaipur for the first time maybe 10 years ago or so. I really liked it but at the time, I didn't want to dish out that kind of money. I then saw it in the Bahamas for a discount and it was EDP. So I bought it. It just smelled different. It smelled too heavy and too sweet. I could barely use up the bottle

    I'd go with the EDP.

I'm not after the best longevity/projection, so I want to know: which version smells better ? The heliotrope and the divine vanilla notes are the things that attract me, rather then the woods.

Looking forward to more replies. Thank's for helping me make such a hard choice.

I typically like EDP over EDT but not in this case. They smell really close but I think the vanilla notes are more prominent in the EDP to my nose so go with EDP.

Both great but the EDP is definitely richer.

I'll test the EDP and EDT at the same time to get the best view. If something's more expensive and in "stronger" concentration, it's bound to smell richer with better ingredients... or at least that's what comes in mind. I'll think it over.

PigeonMurderer's view that the EDP is harsher and that the other version has a more delicate smell got me confused, though.
From what he said, the difference seems big enough for serious testing.
    Eager to read more replies.

The EDT it's easier to wear even if still pretty rich. The EDP can get kinda overwhelming if overapplied, it's definitely sweeter but overall much more complex and deep.

To me, the EDT is much more classy and subtle (this is relative, it lasts easily 24 hours and projects for the duration) and somewhat more refined than the EDP. It never fails to get compliments because of it's soft allure and vanilla drydown. Own and wear both but my EDT is lower on juice than the EDP.

I prefer the EDT overall because it works better on me but the EDP really has more going for it in terms of richness and complexity.
Perhaps you could test wear samples?
Or just buy both for hot/cold weather or informal/formal times respectively.

If you want an easier to wear, softer and more citric fragrance go for the EDT.
If you prefer fuller less bright but slightly more complex fragrances and your happy to not wear it in the warmer weather go for the EDP.
Probably both worth having if you really like the fragrance.

I don't care about the weather and I hate booring fresh smells.
So, the EDT has more citrus in it ? I thought so, but not after a few hours when it dryes down to a heavenly smell.
I remember now, it was the EDT I've tested.
I'll buy them both, but it seems that my money will go on the EDT, for now.
Thanks, again, for helping me. Fraghead and Shifty Bat's comments are quite convincing with good arguments.
I'm curious what the Duke thinks since he has a perfume store size collection and must own both concentrations of JH.
