    Default Best feminine tuberose fragrances?

Am just nuts over the smell of tuberose. What are the best tuberose-based fragrances out there? Mostly for top and middle notes..?

Annick Goutal Tubéreuse. Both my wife and older daughter wear it and like it. Dainty and feminine.

I love Frangipani by Ormonde Jayne and it was the tuberose that I initially smelt - it has middle notes of tuberose absolute but it's very prominent in the drydown. it's really gorgeous & i wear it winter & summer. just bought it in Solid Perfume form for a friend because they have a free shipping offer today for Mother's Day. (the tuberose doesn't come out so prominently in the solid perfume)

Fracas by Piguet is the classic tuberose, with a buttery creamy feel. The new Madonna perfume, Truth or dare, is clearly inspired by it (and it's not bad either, though not as good as the model).

At the other extreme, there's Tubereuse Criminelle by Serge Lutens, strong, aggressive, almost camphoraceous.

Dior Poison is a 1980s tuberose powerhouse; huge, big, loud. And in superexpensive territory, there's Eclair by JAR (more than $800), an intense, angular tuberose.

Depending upon where you live, the beautiful Annick Goutal hednic mentioned may be difficult for you to try. Another tuberose, a "classic" is Robert Piguet's FRACAS. This one is much easier to find.

There are many, many more, as this is a very popular note.

Also, a search of basenotes will yield a wealth of information. (I was going to tell you how to do that but the software wants me to leave this page in order to do so.) PM me, if you have any trouble doing a search.

Yes the annick goutal is nowhere to be found where I live, but have managed to find suggestions for quite a few tuberose scents. For the basenotes search, am guessing you mean through the fragrance directory advanced search. Will give that a go..thanks!

I only own Carnal Flower, but it's so good I've never even bothered to explore other options. EXTREMELY potent too.

Carnal Flower is tuberose perfection. For a tuberose lover, almost certainly worth the splurge.

Annick Goutal Songes is a creamy, dreamy tropical jasmine/tiare/vanilla/ylang/wood confection, but if I didn't know otherwise, I would have guessed there was a dose of sweet, waxy tuberose in there too. Samples and bottles turn up at fairly steep discounts online in my experience.

All right. Ordered samples of Carnal Flower (how could I not after so many recommendations ), fracas, amarige, creed tuberose indiana, beyond love and prada tuberose. Thank goodness for Perfumed Court. Do so want to love Carnal Flower the best...it seems to be THE tuberose to beat...let's see. Will post how it goes Thank u all for the suggestions!

Can't wait to hear your impressions! While I'm sure carnal flower comes off pretty feminine, it hasn't stopped me from wearing it or enjoying it any less.

Nuit de Tubereuse by L'Artisan Parfumeur is nice - a lighter take on tuberose.

Also, Tubereuse by Caron is worth sampling, in extrait.

I'll throw in a pitch for Mona di Orio's Tubereuse. It's beautiful.

Another one for Malle's Carnal Flower which is hard to beat for tuberose.

Great suggestions all, but am surprised nobody mentioned Dior's Poison, which is classified as a loud tuberose. It is my favorite poison so far and I guess that's why I want to try more tuberose stuff!

Admittedly I have very little experience in the tuberose area, but, Carnal Flower is a masterpiece and I highly recommend giving it a whirl. If you believe the literature on it, they use a higher concentration of tuberose than any other fragrance out there. That said, I would also point out that I would not describe it as "feminine", as, I own, wear, and love it myself.

Try Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia. Smells luxurious and is very "Hollywood".

SL Tuberose Criminelle does have a pretty noisy opening of wintergreen but on me it dries down to a beautiful candied tuberose.

Other than that definitely +1 for Fracas and Madges Truth or Dare

Tuberuse #3 Animale by Histoires de Parfums is intoxicating to my nose.
Cocoa Tuberose by Providence Perfume - A natural gourmand frag that is outstanding - with excellent longevity

Annick Goutal Tubereuse - very feminine and wonderful on a woman IMO. (Thought there was already a thread like this. Must have been merged)

I am very fond of Creed Tuberose Indiana. It's lovely stuff. I've heard that it's not really a tuberose scent, but I don't know tuberose that much anyway, so. . .
