Default If you had to pick one Nasomatto...

Which would it be? Having just purchased Black Afgano, Absinthe and Pardon direct from the online boutique (and being very happy with them) I'm wondering what you guys would hold up as your favourite(s) from the line? Having thought that Pardon would be my favourite, (don't get me wrong, it's great!) I actually really like Absinthe and Black Afgano, almost equally but for different reasons. Be interested to hear your thoughts on this house.

You have the best 3 in my opinion. I like Silver Musk for it's long lasting clean smell, but it surely doesn't stand out. If I had to pick 1...Absinth.

I literally just sampled most of their line 3 hours ago. Here's what I can remember.

    Hindu Grass stank.
Black Afgano smelled nice and better than I thought.
Pardon was the best smelling of the lot.
    Absinth smelled good.

    Have Black Afgano.
Have a sample of Absinth and if money wasn't an issue, lol, would probably buy it.
Heard good things about Duro and will sooner or later do the necessary and sample it.

Liked all 5 that I've tried (Silver Musk, Black Afgano, Absinthe, Hindu Grass and Duro), but I would go with either Black Afgano or Duro. 50/50 coin toss, with fingers slightly crossed for Duro.

    This one ↓↓↓

    Nasomatto Silver Musk by Nasomatto
    - Initially, one is treated to a swirling mandarin, with its sweetly tart, orangey facet. Lavender, with its fresh floral aspect, commingles with the mardain to create a zesty, herbal presence. A nascent soapiness from white musk emerges in the background. Transitioning, a lightly sweetish cyclamen carries itself to the fore along with a more softly diffusive and slightly powdery white musk. A characteristically aloof iris, with its violet-like, woody facet, wrests for prominence. Segueing, a faint metallic note, akin to metal shavings, ephemerally surfaces. A magical aldehyde imparts its sparkly clean and fresh vibe. And, a mild hedione diffuses its subtly green sensation. The white musk has taken on a waxy brightness. An alluring drydown ensues. This somewhat elegant composition has average projection and very good longevity.

Very interesting and varied responses. Many thanks. Am I right in thinking that the square-topped bottles are aimed more towards the masculine crowd and the cylindrical aimed to the feminine? Not that it's an issue, just a thought! Looks like Duro might be next on my list, might wait until Autumn though.

BA, Pardon and Absinth are the one's I got as well. If you're looking for a suggestion for one more, I'd say maybe Duro or Silver Musk.

If you're asking what my favorite from the line is, I'm say either Absinth or Pardon, but Absinth will see the most action as I live in Vegas and it's friggin' hot here.

I'm handling this Nasomatto thing this way: Had Black Afghano, liked it very much, finished it. (Doesn't take that long time to do so). Had Silver Musk & then Pardon, finished them, liked them. Got Duro then, liking it, going to finish it recently. Next might be Blamage to discover a Nasomatto take on fruity-gourmand. Can't explain but I think it's nice to just have one of these in a wardrobe, doesn't matter that much to me, which one :-) More or less I think all of them are about sparkling but creamy larger-than-life woody ambers, BIG clean musky stuff, cashmeran & (sandal)wood synthie modern-molecules and bases galore. I find them brilliantly entertaining and interesting, but more of a fun wear than a go to scent. (Some months ago there were nice little 4ml oil versions for quite an interesting price on the NM Homepage).

    My favorites from Nasomatto are:

    1) Hindu Grass
    2) Duro
    3) Pardon
    4) Silver Musk
    5) China White
    6) Absinthe

I've owned all of these - still prefer H. Grass.
