Default Any thoughts on Dip-Dyed items? Still "in" or "out"?

I really liked some shirts and sweaters that were dip dyed but forgot about them, then lately I checked some out on ebay.

    Your thoughts please.

Sorry to bump this thread in such a belated manner, I guess it depends a lot on the occasion, the entire outfit, the manufacturer, the actual model.

But a mere random search on Ebay came up very quickly with various outfits which, at a first impression at least, I would not consider dated at all, far more creative and tasteful.

Tie-dyeing was common with my friends including myself back in the late 60s during the Woodstock era. I see it as a dated fashion statement. However having said that, fads do reappear.

um, hednic, we're talking about dip-dying... Robert Geller and Club Monaco for example did these last fall/winter...

Personally, I think some look great, but it's easy to make a bad version, so choose carefully

Oh this is funny ... I also saw tie dyeing instead of dip dyeing ! *LOL* What does this mean ??!
Dip Dyeing items are quite cool ... I guess ???
Tie Dyeing- I last tied dyed a home made dress in the 1980s as a teeanger and wore it- punky rocky black ,grey tie dyeing.

I`ve never owned anything dip dyed.

One of my hobbies is guitars. Here`s what a dip dyed guitar might look like:
